What a fantastic barbershop! I was able to get an appointment for my son quickly (however they do take walk ins) and they were on schedule, and that in itself was impressive. We were greeted immediately and were treated so nice. The guys here really know their stuff & the vibe of the shop and people was awesome! My son loved his haircut, and we’re really happy to have found this place. We’ll definitely be regulars!

I have NEVER been more impressed by a business in my life. I never leave reviews but I just had to for this place. I came in with my son for the first time and I felt so out of place being the only woman in there with nothing but men to get my sons hair cut and the owner and stylist immediately made me feel at home. They were so kind, professional, put together, clean, just absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. It’s by far the best barbershop/salon I’ve ever been to. It’s affordable too. I’m dying to bring my dad here now to see what they’ll do for him. I will never go anywhere else now for my son.

The only barber shop I would recommend. Everyone who works there is very professional and good at what they do. The receptionist is very kind and great at customer service. They do a great job at military style haircuts. My husband is in the military and gets his hair cut there. It’s the only place I’ll take my three year old son. Aj is great with kids.

Litterly showed the guy a reference picture and told him several times the simple instructions of what I wanted and he must’ve tried to go out of his way to not listen to any of it and wouldn’t stop cutting parts of my hair when I kept telling him to stop. Asked for a low fade up to my ears and he shaved the entire sides of my head cut the top and back completely uneven and wouldn’t stop when I asked him to. The guy was definitely new and learning how to cut hair.

This was my first time at AJ’s but I would recommend anyone in the Harrisonburg and surrounding areas pop out to AJ’s and show some love. My son is two and this barber shop gave him his best haircut yet! We were in town visiting for a kidcation and had sometime to spare and so glad we went because they were all so welcoming and professional! Felt like I was witnessing great haircuts all around me too. Just sitting there watching them was entertainment! Great with my son and he was even able to shape up his hairline perfectly even!! Would definitely come back all the time if we lived closer. Thank you all!
