I was told that they knew how to do curly hair over the phone but when I got there, she clearly had no idea what to do with my hair. She brushed it out dry and the cut my hair like a poodle. I’m never going back.

I was new to the area and needed a hair dresser. I was starting a temp job on a Monday and they were able to get me in Saturday morning for a cut and color. The owners Mei and Kevin were so awesome! The salon is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. Mei and Mary Beth did a fantastic job on my color and Mei’s cut was perfect. I told her she was my new best friend . I highly recommend!

Critical: ProfessionalismI was told by Mai that I should go to a black hair salon because she doesn’t service “my kind of hair”. All I wanted were highlights, cut and blow dry. My hair is very fine and extremely easy to work with. I went to another salon ( Phoenix Salon ) which I highly recommend because they don’t discriminate. If you can’t service curly or wavy hair then you shouldn’t be able to do hair in a salon period. If you just don’t want to service biracial or black people then you don’t even deserve your license. I feel fortunate to have found Azia Hair & Body, which is a full service beauty salon. The massages are the best I’ve ever had, and Mei, the owner, is not only a talented hair stylist, but also someone who is genuinely concerned about her customers’ wants and needs. She listens to how I want my hair styled, advises on the best cut and color, and I am always pleased with the outcome. If you live in the Columbia area, I highly recommend this salon. You will not be disappointed!

I had a great experience at AIZA Hair and Body! Mei is amazing! I previously had my hair colored at a local beauty school, resulting in uneven touch up at the roots, leaving patchy places throughout the crown of my head. I visited Mei and she knew exactly how to correct my hair dilemma without adding further chemicals to my already damaged hair. She turned a stressful situation into a beautiful outcome! Mei is wonderful! I moved to Columbia a few months ago and was nervous to try someone new but honestly my hair looks better than it ever has. This was my first visit to the salon, but definitely will not be my last. The atmosphere is so calming and peaceful. Mei explained exactly what I needed for my hairstyle with color and highlights. I am so thankful to have such a great salon in Irmo. My daughter also enjoyed getting a pedicure. Staff is courteous and very welcoming.

The atmosphere is fantastic and relaxing with charming songs and delicious beverages. The staff is always kind, and generous with their knowledge and experience. I would recommend this place easily because of the outstanding quality of their work and personality. I came in with multiple pictures, and Mei discussed how each look was achieved, which is something I am clueless about, and helped make my decission based on what I wanted. I love my new hair, and I tried the shimmer hair dye that was super quick, and gave me a simple sun-kissed look!! Thank you, Mei and Aiza!!!

Absolutely the best! From the moment I walked in until I walked out the door I loved every minute of it. Mei, Heather, and Alan did a fantastic job on my hair and nails. If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing atmosphere you’ve found it with AIZA. Heather always comes up with the cutest designs for my nails and Alan gives the best leg massage while getting a pedicure. My hair feels and looks the best it has in a long time thanks to Mei.
