Aissa’s Professional African Hair Braiding

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI do not know how she has almost 5 stars as the work that she did on my head was mediocre at best. These people reviewing might be related to her. A week after my hair is still pulling and bumps are starting to appear in the back of my head. Made me paid upfront 140 for a crochet braids and then 20 more to make the front look more like the hairstyle I wanted. She wouldn’t even comb out my hair so I had to do that on my own. Pulled my hair in every direction and was very rough with it. Some strands of hair are so stretch that they are still pulling almost a week after. I am starting to think I would either take it down or cut my hair so it doesn’t rip my scalp. Definitely not worth it at all.And I was forgetting the best part a guy walked in and she left me to go do his hair first without even saying what was happening. I do not know how she has almost 5 stars as the work that she did on my head was mediocre at best. These people reviewing might be related to her. A week after my hair is still pulling and bumps are starting to appear in the back of my head. Positive: Cleanliness, Quality, Value One of the BEST places to get your hair professionally done. It was my first time here and 1st time getting my hair braided with hair extensions (which she can provide from a limited supply re: color/type). Aissa and her family/staff were very nice/welcoming. They worked together as a team to get my hair done fast -a very full set of long box braids ~mid-back, in about 4 hours. She is extremely accommodating yet you can tell she gets very busy and has regulars so it is best to be on time and prepared. Unfortunately, she has had some ppl try to take advantage of her by not paying so she was taking cash only when I was there! She said she does all types of styles (braiding with or without extensions, sew ins, dreads, etc.) and her daughter had my edges on fleek . I tried to replicate what her daughter did with my edges and it just wasn’t the same lol. I got my hair done some months ago and when I took my braids out (~3 months later) my hair grew at least a couple inches. I could have left my braids in a little longer but I was ready for them to come out, lol. The only thing I would caution about is the braids were tight for a while, like a week and all I wanted to do was loosen them up! Almost unbearable, once they loosened up I was a lot happier . Being new to braids, I probably will go with shorter braids-less heavy. Knotless braids are supposed to be better for this too. I will get these next! It was a bit pricy yet the quality of her work and her knowledge made it worth it. I was very happy with the results. I will be going back soon & I highly recommend!!!! Thank you Aissa and family. One of the BEST places to get your hair professionally done. It was my first time here and 1st time getting my hair braided with hair extensions (which she can provide from a limited supply re: color/type). Aissa and her family/staff were very nice/welcoming. I have been coming to this salon for a while and my hair is flowing, she is not expensive depending on the type of hair style that you want. It can be a little pricey to some people I love the work and my braids are always neat. The staff is always polite and professional never had a problem. I love this salon a good place to go if you want your hair to grow! I have been coming to this salon for a while and my hair is flowing, she is not expensive depending on the type of hair style that you want. It can be a little pricey to some people I love the work and my braids are always neat. The staff is always polite and professional never had a problem. If you want good quality hairstyle this is the place to be.
