I’ve been to this salon many times n never have any complaints. The other day I was charged 60 for two braids which I spoke up on at that. Then when i get home the results of when it dried look bad. I go back with the hair style to show them the results the next day. The lady who did it asked me what’s wrong I said you charged me 60 for this and I rather do the hair style we talked about yesterday I don’t like the two braids. She charged me 120 for a style I showed pictures of while on chair . Now I’m in the chair it’s 200 so I was like never mind. They negotiate 150 with me ok. I go to get my hair done. Then the experience while I’m on the chair was ridiculous. She washes my hair and braids a couple hair in the back and then tells me she can’t do it and kept giving me 15 dollars difference from the previous day. I said I don’t want it I just want my hair done. Now mind you I’m in the chair you took my hair out and you washed it. Then say you can’t do it. I didn’t move out the chair I said I’m not leaving until my hair is done. This is the worse experience I had. My hair eventually got done but my experience in here lately has been horrible. And there were other customers there witnessing this at that.

I found this salon on Google and booked an appt for my daughter for Knotless braids. We came about 10 minutes early and they started on her right away. Her braids look better than they ever have. The staff was very friendly and nice and their prices are good too. They were quick too!!

We love coming here. My mother started coming first then I began and shortly afterwards started bringing my daughter. All of us get our hair done by Oumou and she is the best! The salon is clean and all the ladies are great. My best friend’s son started his loc journey here and comes all the way from college in Boone to get them retwisted.

Tried to get my own hair braided with zig zag part but she said no she can only braid straight back. I showed her a picture and told her that’s what I wanted straight back braids with zig zag parts she said she couldn’t do it for the price I said ok. I’m not worried. She said $60. I said ok.she proceeded to do something completely different. I told her that’s not what I was wanting she said wel I can’t do it. And sat down. NEVER AGAIN.

Although their very good at braiding. My rating would have been higher if they could offer a better way of scheduling appointments and pricing. After 3 attempts in one day my conclusion is they do not specialize in twist and have no clue what the difference is between Marley twist, kinky twist and Senegalese twist. Very rough on head very rigorous! Does not honor 24 hr services as advertised. Owner made severa attempts to rectify my issue my hairstyle was better but still not what I wanted or paid for. A week later after the stiffness wore out I discover one of my twist was cut & unfinished. The lady who did my front twists are intact and good length but the lady named Mama who did the back did not do a great job. Twist in the back are unraveling, hair coming out, shorter/thinner and uneven.
