Snuck in here for the first time, couldnt get an appointment with my usual barber. While sitting in barber chair the sign on wall showed Haircuts $20. Veterans $15. My thought was to pay the $20 and give her a $5 tip. While paying (and during much of our conversation during the cut) I informed her I was a veteran, she said “No, that is for “older” veterans”. I said “what does that mean”…”you know, like older”. I didnt press any further. My rant isnt that she should or should not give a discount. Its fine with me if she does not. However, if the sign is on the wall, honor it or take it down. Whats worse is that it was the owner that gave me the cut, I challenged and she still said no. Not getting any more of my business.
