Positive: QualityBendu did a very neat job on the braids and they are very nice and as the photo that I provided for my daughter for school. However my reason for taking a star off is due to miscommunication and trying to charge $50 EXTRA dollars from what she stated in the text and also what she placed on the Booksy app for me to book the service. My price quoted in text and the service she placed in the app was $150. Which I usually pay between $150-$170 for my daughter’s hair anytime she gets braids so that isn’t the problem. NEVER in the time that we communicated did she say if she provided the hair that it was not included in the price. I also asked her if she put beads on her hair if that was included in the price and she stated that it was. This is why I like to get things in text or some form or writing so that I can reference back to it. This was my first time with her so how would I know the hair wasn’t provided. In 20 years I have never had to purchase braiding hair and it has always been included in the style. I know that some do but I have never and wouldn’t know that as a new client. When I mentioned to her that I brought the amount that she specified and wasn’t going to pay more than that and I have never paid additional for hair, she stated that she is sure I paid way more too. I told her actually not and the most may have been $20 more than her price. She did agree to that once I stated that she did not communicate this to me at any time. You can’t tell me that cheap braiding hair that I can go to supply store to pick up for a few dollars would warrant a $50 difference in price from what was mentioned especially when I saw the amount used. So on that note, Bendu did a great job but I was turned off for the lack of communication especially being a business, so I guess I will be on the search for a consistent braider. The day of my appointment, I called in (thank goodness) to confirm and she had no recollection of the appointment – nothing was written down. I had to pull up my call log and extensive notes.
