I made an appointment yesterday evening to have my hair braided Saturday 06/16/18 at 8a. I arrived at 0750 and the 2 staffers were there. I immediately sat down and both starting working on my hair. I provided a photo of the style I wanted and they met my expectation. This is my 2nd second visit back in about 2yrs. No reason for the delay in the revisist. I travel a lot supporting and the National Guard. I highly recommend this salon.

My youngest daughter is six and has gotten her hair braided here three times and still has all her edges I definitely recommend them

I got my hair done here for the first and last time. I had two people doing my hair, but the issue is the braids didn’t look the same. The braids in the front looked good. The braids in the back were more like short cornrows. They asked if I wanted it full so I told them yes but that didn’t happen either. They were nice ladies is the only good thing I can say about the place. Save your money don’t go here. Spend the gas money and go elsewhere. I will NEVER go here again. I’ll cut all my hair off and wear a fade first. #LessonLearned

Although the hair shop does excellent work, at times it is hard to reach them. Ive tried called 10+ times this morning with no response and there are no business hours posted. Not to mention the last time i wanted to get my hair done (and made an appointment) when I got there no body was there so I had to call and then wait for 30 mins. for someone to show up

I wish I could rate this place negative stars. I called the day prior to me going and asked would they take walk ins and how much. The lady told me $160 and up and they provide the hair(synthetic not human). Okay sounds reasonable. I’m a very patient person so I know if walkin there’s a possibility I won’t be seen right away. I get there (June 30, 2017) they’re 6 people in the chair 7 hair braiders and one client sitting. They confer with me (I could tell they didn’t wanna do micros that day and even tried to talk me out of the hairstyle that I wanted) and took me immediately. To skip all the in between, they stop braiding my hair to take at least 5 walk-ins while I was there. Literally stop braiding my hair for almost two hours. Not to mention they all had lunch while I was just sitting there fighting flies and roaches. I got to the shop approximately 10 minutes to 10am. I didn’t leave until 7:30pm. Then one of the hair dressed had the nerve to say “oh sweetie you tired” I’m like yeah I’ve been here since 10 and have had nothing to eat. She goes “that’s why we told you to get braids because we knew it would take a long time, you never had micros before?”. Oh the client I mentioned earlier, she was still getting “braids” when I left and there’s no telling how early she had been there. To top it off, it’s time to pay they tell me oh that’ll be $200. But I just called yesterday and you said $160 (hair is only past my shoulders at that). The lady goes “oh honey your hair isn’t cheap”. ITS SYNTHETIC! A BS ass shop, you couldn’t get even discount me for sitting in your shop for 10 hours!!! I’ve been to 4 different African brading shops within Maryland never has it took them 5 hours let alone almost 10 hours to do some micros. NEVER AGAIN. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COST! I will continue making an hour drive to Fatis hair in capitol heights cause that was just tragic service all together!

The owner traveled two hours from her home to braid my hair in the shop when the shop was closed. I love my hair and she was very polite and I look forward to getting my hair done again.

I came here in the morning and there’s one lady in there. She is SO RUDE. I wanted to get Pasion twists and she didn’t have the right hair so she called someone and said “she’s coming”. My mom asked her “how long”, she ignored her, so I turned around and said “excuse me, how long is it gonna take her”, she looks and says “I just said she’s coming”, and I asked her again and she repeated the same thing. SO WE UP’d and left and acknowledged her about her attitude. Few minutes later she calls my phone and tries to get me to come back. NEVER AGAIN. I won’t ever tolerate rudeness let alone, let someone with that attitude do my hair.

First I sat outside for 45 mins my appt was at 7… Second the hairstyle tht I wanted they didnt kno how to do…what african gallery does not kno how to do baby doll braids …so the style I settled for looks like I had them done by anyone on the street…it was my first and last visit…the 1 star was being generous
