I recently visited Tashia African Hair Braiding shop. I moved to this area last year and was surprised to find a shop that did hair braiding in Clearwater. Tashia did an AWESOME job on my hair. She is very informative about hair growth and keeping your hair healthy. I will be going back in the future. Box Braids

This place is run down and disgusting! There’s a woman who works there (Not the owner Eva) who is so rude and unprofessional! Doesn’t even know how to answer the calls and doesn’t know how to communicate! I would stay away from this place! This place should be reported to the State because of the unhealthy sanitary environment! Would have left a zero star rating but too bad there’s no option to do so. Bunch of rude West Africans working here!

First, when I arrived the place was a bit run down and not professional looking. I arrived wearing a mask and noticed my stylist did not have one on so I asked if she wore a mask and she reported no not wearing one and if I wanted to continue to have my hair done. I reluctantly agreed because I was in a jam and didn’t have anywhere to go since locating to Florida from Chicago. Second problem, I asked her to make a slight change to my hair and she became annoyed. I only had two braids with a part down the middle not much work. Overall, this is not a professional place but if you are in a jam and need your hair done. It will do.

Positive: ProfessionalismAbsolutely loved this place. Teresa KNOWS how to braid hair also the other ladies there as well did an AMAZING job. Let me tell you about my experience in detail. I am VERY picky when it comes to plaits , the hair salon is small , its clean though and they have a tv to keep you entertained. The staff is VERY nice and respectful. 3 people were doing my hair at the same time which was amazing because my hair usually takes 8hrs to do (full head of plaits waist length) but they knocked it out in 4 1/2 hrs with full i mean full and long BEAUTIFUL small/medium plaits. I am 27yrs old and had plaits basically all my life and this by far is the best braids I have ever received!! Prices was not bad , especially for the service, and quality of the braiding. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI asked for a sew in and literally had to guide the stylist how to fix the gap in my leave out and braid.
