I cannot begin to explain how unprofessional they are in this place. My daughter made an appointment for a perm and was not asked any preliminary questions, only number and name. The day of the appointment she went and the only thing she was asked is what rod she wanted. After the process was done, she was not satisfied with the results so she asked if that was the way it was supposed to look. They told her “no, that’s not the final look you just have to use conditioner or curling cream to define the curls”. They did instruct her to not wash or rinse for 24 hours, which she did not. But her hair was looking worse, so she called in trying to get help, no one did. (After the second day of no help she went in person to see if they could help and was greeted by Mary. She immediately took a sarcastic tone after she was explaining to her what was happening with her hair. Saying that her hair looked dyed and that was the reason her hair wasn’t taking the perm. So she asked why they hadn’t informed her prior to the perm if that was something they knew. She also asked if anything was going to be fixed. Mary insisted on being hostile saying that it was her fault basically for having her hair dyed to begin with. So she asked Mary at that point, if her employees were not trained enough to know that her hair wasn’t going to take a perm. She got extremely disrespectful, saying “don’t even go there”, grabbed cash out of the register and literally threw it in her face! Telling her never to go into her shop again.) She wasn’t planning to with that service. (All this was witnessed by me, her mother, through a video call she had me on before she walked in.)

I was looking forward to supporting a local, Oak Creek business. I got there early and waited patiently until they called me up. I was the only customer, and wore my mask. I asked if the stylist had a mask and she said ” Oh, you don’t need to worry about that stuff here.” I told her I actually did and would prefer if she had one, too. She got surprisingly hostile and said “Don’t start up with that…”

Mary listens and does what i want even though i cant explain things the best she knows exactly what i mean. She has gotten my hair so perfectly blonde and now does fashion colors of purple and pink and i LOVE my hair every time i leave not to mention i love the way she waxes my brows. My husband also goes to affordable cuts and absolutely loves it! The environment is always fun and positive and everyone is so easy to talk to! I also love seeing the little puppy whenever he’s there! I saw someone complained about him and if you can complain about a small sweetest most gentle relaxed dog ive ever seen and only comes to you if you want him to then clearly there is something wrong with you!!! He makes my appointment even better then it already is! I won’t be going anywhere else and im happy i found my go to salon! I LOVE AFFORDABLE CUTS!! All the women are incredible! Mary does my hair now and i couldn’t be happier! Mary listens and does what i want even though i cant explain things the best she knows exactly what i mean. The place is dark and uninviting. All 3 stylists talked throughout haircut about the customer calls coming in. The theme and tone was sarcasm and lack of interest in taking walk-ins was unprofessional at best. The conversation in a salon was amongst the 3 stylist…. not to the customers like anyone is used to. I should have trusted the Google ratings but like to verify for myself. I stopped at great clips where I usually go on my way home to have the left side of my hair not sticking out where she forgot to fade it in. Not recommending haircuts here….

Asked for a v shaped hair cut and was given a bob with several inches cut off! Iayers are also very bad! Very upset with this place. Especially since it took me so long to grow my hair.

I’ve been going here for 5 years now, I never understood what my mom meant when she said “you just go to someone you trust with your hair” when asked why she choose to go to the same person all the time. I now understand, when i get cut or colored I always go to Amanda. She has seen me throughout my longest hair to my shortest. 10/10 recommend.

I been looking for a place I could stay with for a long time going here going there. When I finally find a place they raise the fees to what I think is pretty expensive for a simple haircut. Affordable cuts is just that, affordable. Leaves room for a decent tip. The hair stylist I pick always gives me exactly what I want.

I absolutely love love Amanda….. she has been a great stylist from our 1st meeting. we clicked right away and you can tell she cares a great deal for her customers. i’ve recommended others to come see her. she will cut your hair only the way you want it and nothing more. unfortunately shes only down to the weekends now, but won’t stop me from coming in to see her.
