Advanced Dermatology Care is a dermatology office in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Our office was started in 1993 by Dr. O. J. and Dr. Ruth Rustad to provide the highest quality care in all three aspects of dermatology: medical, surgical, and cosmetic. We are continually incorporating the latest knowledge and therapies in treating medical and surgical dermatologic conditions. Advanced Esthetics, the cosmetic division of ADC, offers cosmetic services for your skin care, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, botox, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and truSculpting in the St. Paul area. Botox/Xeomin
Botox is an injection treatment for wrinkles caused by muscle movement. You don’t have to let your skin show signs of aging. Coolsculpting
Dermabrasion
Our dermatology office in Forest Lake uses dermabrasion to produce significant improvement in skin tone and texture, wrinkles, scars by “sanding off” the skin. Some benefits include softening of depressed acne scars and improved skin and texture.
Dermal Fillers
Injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid are used to improve wrinkles and depressed areas in the skin. At Advanced Esthetics, several mid-length to long-lasting dermal fillers are offered. Short-acting fillers, lasting 1-4 months are no longer utilized, as the newer fillers offer the same soft natural look with longer results. Extremely long-lasting or permanent fillers are also not utilized due to the high rate of complications that occur many years later.
Dermaplaning
Dermplaning is also offered in our office. It is an exfoliation technique to remove dead skin cells and fine hair from the surface of the skin.
Earlobe Repair
An earlobe repair treats elongated or torn earlobes. The earlobe is injected with a local anesthetic to numb the area; a football shaped incision is then made, new skin edges connected and stitched together. If non-dissolvable sutures were used they will need to be removed approximately 10 days later.
Eyebrow/Lash Tinting
Tint used to darken the eyebrows and lashes. Our medical spa offers eyebrow and lash tinting.
Facial Waxing
We also offer hair removal using wax. Waxing damages your hair follicles; this is not a bad thing because it reduces the growth of hair and over time your face will be completely hair-free.
Facials
Facials consist of cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, massage, and a mask. Our skilled esthetician will help you achieve your beauty goals by consulting with you and carefully analyzing your skin. Each facial is customized to the patient’s individual needs and will be discussed at each facial treatment.
Hair Growth
Platelet-Rich Plasma is used to inject into areas with hair loss to stimulate hair growth. PRP therapy is a three-step process. Most PRP therapy requires three treatments 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are required every 4–6 months. Theradome hair growth technology is also available.
Hair Reduction
Hair reduction reduces hair growth permanently with laser/IPL.
Laser Treatment for Nail Fungus
Treatment of nail fungus is available at our Forest Lake dermatology office.
Lesion Excision
In addition to cancer removal surgeries, our dermatologist in Forest Lake offers surgical excisions of benign lesions such as epidermal cysts, lipmoas, and warts. Like any surgery, an office visit to discuss options is required before scheduling any type of removal surgery.
Liposuction
Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that eliminates fat in a localized area permanently. Our Forest Lake dermatology office offers liposuction.
Microdermabrasion
Exfoliates dead skin cells, refines pores, helps treat acne, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with a vacuum. Micropen
Automated Micro-Needling is a new innovation for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s texture, tone and color. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. Micropen treatment using the Platelet-Rich Plasma from our blood to induce even more collagen and release growth factors, resulting in more youthful skin.
