It took me quite a while to find a new barber that I liked. I went through several bad ones and many not so good haircuts. Then I finally found Misty and Acme Barber Shop in Black Mountain. Misty is a truly great barber as well as an awesome person. I have been going to her for quite some time now. I always get a great haircut, plus I really enjoy talking to Misty. She’s a great, interesting, and all-around super nice person. I highly recommend going to Misty for a haircut.

(Mens Haircut) This was my first time going Acme Barber Shop and had a great experience! I got my hair cut by Misty. She did a great job, and I would highly recommend her! She was also very friendly and personable. We were talking for at least 20 minutes after she was done. Felt like I was talking to a friend. (Which I appreciate from a Barber.) Overall I had a great experience and will be going back to Misty from here on out to get my haircut.

Love these guys. Down home atmosphere and small town vibe. Benny is funny and always a joy. They have cartoons playing on the TV mostly, and you can enjoy the regulars’ conversation. Only qualm I have is that I feel that their hours aren’t very regular, but that’s to be expected with a classic barber.
