This was my first time at a new hairstylist since moving from central Maine, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had! Nicholas was so talented and kind and professional, and educated me about products and techniques throughout the appointment. I absolutely love the way my hair turned out, and I will definitely be going back in the future! Positive: ProfessionalismI went to Acapello salon a little bit ago for my first time ever coloring my hair and Kelci, my stylist was so professional and did such an amazing job. She made me feel completely comfortable even though I was nervous about bleaching my hair and the color and cut were just perfect! I get so many compliments on my hair and it was all thanks to Kelci! I went to Acapello salon a little bit ago for my first time ever coloring my hair and Kelci, my stylist was so professional and did such an amazing job. She made me feel completely comfortable even though I was nervous about bleaching my hair and the color and cut were just perfect! I get so many compliments on my hair and it was all thanks to Kelci! Critical: QualityI initially gave a good review a year ago after going to the salon, but my opinion has changed.I had bad coloring/styling service during an appointment. The whole experience broke trust and was terrible. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI will be honest that I was skeptical about staying with Acapello despite being with them for so many years due to my stylist leaving for personal reasons. My daughter went to see Nicholas and she talked me into giving him a try! I am so glad that I did!! Nicholas was amazing to work with. He took the time to not only listen to me 100% but was honest with me 100% about his thoughts. He truly showed his care for me and his love of hair! All throughout the process he talked me through everything he was going to do and made sure I was comfortable before anything was done! He didn’t just say “yup, I’ll do this” he did what was right for the health of my hair!! I can’t thank him enough for the time he spent and care he has! He won me over in one visit and gave me a beautiful head of hair!!! I will be honest that I was skeptical about staying with Acapello despite being with them for so many years due to my stylist leaving for personal reasons. My daughter went to see Nicholas and she talked me into giving him a try! I am so glad that I did!! Nicholas was amazing to work with. Critical: ProfessionalismDisappointing service.Charging people a $50 fee when you give well over 24 hours notice is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when that appointment was going to be in the evening/last one of the day. Very disappointed in the response I received from staff, and unwillingness to be flexible. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI have found my new Salon! I love this salon! Extremely worth the money you pay for the cleanliness and services. You can have a glass of wine while you wait and you get a relaxing scalp massage during your shampoo service! All the girls are amazing!

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI was excited to have my first appointment at Acapello Salon in Saco on Friday afternoon but unfortunately left very disappointed. With all that’s going on in the world and working 7 days a week, it’s been tough to get an appointment anywhere.I arrived 5 minutes early and received a text that Amber was ” Running a little late with her current guest.” 10 minutes after my appointment was going to start I received “She has to blowdry her guest real quick and then we will be ready to go. I assume around 15-20!” Ok, no worries I’ll wait, been looking forward to this appointment all day because I have not had my hair done since June. After waiting in the parking lot for a half hour I receive “Amber is asking if you’d be willing to reschedule. She let me know that her current client is going to take her until just about the time we close tonight.” Called and spoke with Emmalee stating I’m not able to reschedule can I wait a few more minutes. She said the guest didn’t like how her hair turned out and Amber needed till after close to fix it. Asked if I could go to Yarmouth on Saturday for an appointment, which would not work for me.I left work early, drove 45 minutes to this appointment, waited for over a half an hour only to drive home another 45 minutes, a complete waste of my time and money.I understand things happen but feel honoring appointments is crucial, especially when they are so hard to come by these days.I was excited to have my first appointment at Acapello Salon in Saco on Friday afternoon but unfortunately left very disappointed.
