Always a good experience. Everyone is friendly and courteous. Vickie and Dianne are excellent. Definitely recommend them for your hair care. They actually listen to what you want, advice whats suitable and the result come out exactly what you look for! Amy and Elmo are amazing as well.

On 8/6/2022 at 3:45, I had a pedicure followed by a massage scheduled for my fiancé at the Pikesville location in celebration of his birthday. Upon entering we were checked in (I did all of the speaking) and we were asked to sit near a manicure station as the pedicure bowls weren’t quite ready for his appointment. Fine. After about five-ten minutes, we were approached by a woman with her arms folded in a very authoritative manner asking what we were getting. We explained that we were waiting for a pedicure and massage. I did state that I was not getting serviced, but he was. After that, she replied “are you okay?” …the answer was yes. She said that he smelled of weed and was “acting high” ..being that we were just sitting in a corner…I’m not sure how she determined that. My fiancé was recently in a car accident and was there for a massage to help with muscle tightness. We simply left. There’s no way we would want service at a place that made us feel this way. He is a 6ft + black male with many tattoos…I understand that his physical appearance may be intimidating for some, but that doesn’t mean that he shouldn’t be able to navigate the world like everyone else. This was our first time ever visiting this establishment and will definitely be the last.

I scheduled a massage with Liz on line for Wednesday at 9:30 at the Pikesville location. I received 2 text message confirmations and an email. I arrived and was told Liz isn’t even here. I explained. Was told the online system is messed up! Extremely disappointed!!

I have been coming to About Faces for over 7 years now and I have always been pleased with the services provided by Nelly. If I need to schedule a last minute appointment Elmo and Ella will always work magic to fit me in. They are always so accommodating and helpful.

The prenatal massages at this location are just okay. The masseuse was super nice, but being 6 month pregnant I needed a little more pressure to help ease my aches and pains. When I expressed that to the masseuse she pretty much told me NO. I’ve had many prenatal massages at other locations, but I figured I would give this place a try since I’m new to the area. She spent an hour basically rubbing lotion on me. Again she’s super nice but the prenatal massage felt more like a glorified lotion rub. I left with the same aches and pains I arrived with.

I honestly would not return here if Donnay my esthetician wasnt still present. She made my experience beautiful. She is awesome pampers you and so sweet They were not very nice at the front desk at all . Honestly you may need a happier front desk staff .I would say younger but honestly I’ve met older staff that were driven with compassion and kind energy. It’s just her . She’s mean

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI am sharing my experience with a stylist named Olga, who cut my hair. She was very unprofessional, launching into her political opinions about mask mandates as soon as I sat down. It made me very uncomfortable and when I tried to shift the conversation, she kept returning to it. I respect people’s views but I came for a hair cut, not to have a political conversation. As for the cut itself, she had no idea what she was doing, tugged and pulled on my hair and when I grimaced in pain, she ignored me and kept on pulling. Then she told me my hair was “very stubborn” repeatedly. I have never had an experience like it. My hair looked worse after her cut than when I came in. I finally just stood up and brushed out the frizzy mess she made and left. Please be warned if you have curly hair or don’t want to listen to views about “so what if elderly people die from covid, not my problem.”I am sharing my experience with a stylist named Olga, who cut my hair. This is not about the Spa; but, a particular stylist. 2 weeks prior to my visit I had a haircut by my regular stylist; unfortunately he is 2 1/2 hrs away. I just needed a few more layers in the top and the back evened up. I looked for curly stylists in my area and About Faces popped up. I called, asked for a curly stylist and was assigned Dawn. When I met Dawn I explained what I wanted,, the first thing she wanted to do was wash my hair which I questioned since that is not the usual thing to do with curly hair. So she sat me in her chair, looked at what I told her I needed and proceeded to comb my curls out. Another no/no for curly hair. At this point I should have thanked her and left; but, I didn’t. To cut curly hair the stylist needs to cut it dry so they can see the curl pattern, Dawn said she always cuts it wet so she gets it even and washed my hair. She proceeded to ruin the cut I had and cut all of my hair. Now every time I look in the mirror I want to cry. As far as getting it even, the right side is about 2 inches shorter than the left.

The service in the Pikesville location is ATROCIOUS! I called and made an appointment the day before and was very specific about what I wanted. I drove 2 hours to get a gel mani/pedi. I arrived at 4:30 for a 6pm service. At 6:05, Nelly (the nail tech) said she won’t be able to do both because she doesn’t have enough time and doesn’t have the right tools. They wasted hours of my time. I came prepared to spend around $200 for nail services. All I got was a free brow wax as compensation.

Unfortunately I was running late but my stylist took me without a problem and I was a new client. She listened carefully and asked the right questions and I wound up with the best hair cut I’ve had in 10 years
