Aaron & Hur. salon & Barbershop 24 years combined experience Aaron & Hur. means strength and liberty in Hebrew. It’s a way of life Gabe and I have worked hard together to achieve. We met during what we love, traveling doing great hair, and teaching. We are both licensed Educators in our fields. Education is what drives our shop and this is only the start for us. Our gender-neutral shop is located in the heart of town in Hondo, TX. That means everyone is welcome, bring your husband, wife, and kids. We promise it will be fun and an experience that will make you want to come back real soon.

Lorena took personal care of my damaged color boxed treated hair and transformed it into healthy-looking hair with her professional products. Over the past 5 years, I have had my roots colored, balayage ombre, highlights, extensions, blow out, and professional makeup sessions. Gabe Lopez is a Master Barber and a Johnny B Educator who co-owns Aaron & Hur with Lorena. Great people who are masters of their crafts. It’s well worth the 30-minute drive from San Antonio to Hondo, TX. I refer all my friends and family to them for their hair needs.

Lorena is the first hairstylist I found in the San Antonio area that listened to me. I had long blonde hair but I have so much hair and debilitating migraines that I need it thinned out. Most hair stylists seem apprehensive about taking as much hair out as I need. Finally I decided I wanted to try a pixie cut! Not only did Lorena listen, she was super excited to do the cut! Having all that hair gone feels so good in this heat. I moved a few months ago and still drive over an hour to see her. Cannot recommend her enough!!

I was a walk I in on a Saturday. I was able to get my haircut by Abby. She understood the texture of my hair. I wanted a short pixie cut. My hair is naturally curly but was straight due to the heat. I am so happy with the cut. It curled perfectly after a hair wash. It is short but versatile. I will definitely be back for touch ups. I am new to the area. I thought might have to drive into the city to get a good haircut. This place is an absolute find. Thank you.

Can we take a minute and appreciate the masterpiece that Lorena at Aaron & Hur created? The before picture is what she had to work with that I had done at a different salon in town and she was able to turn it into something beautiful. I absolutely LOVE my haircut because it matches my features and has movement when I move. Heck, I even included pictures without curls to prove how good her coloring technique is because it’s flawless. The color flows seamless and compliments my skin. She took her time and was truly honest. The salon itself is intimate to offer a more comfortable one on one experience, neat, and modern. She had a great attitude through the whole experience and listened to what feedback I had to say. Overall, a really great experience. Oh and my hair felt better leaving the salon then when I walked in.
