We met Julia through our son, who was her client a few years back. When our stylist of 30 years abruptly quit on us in 2020, my husband and I decided to give Julia a try – best decision ever!! She is a true professional, an exceptional colorist and stylist and we couldn’t be happier! She is a very kind, responsible and considerate young woman who is constantly working to better herself both personally and professionally. We have referred several family members and friends to Julia and all have the same opinion – love her! I don’t know what’s wrong with those who reviewed her negatively – I guess there’s always one or two in a bunch. Trust me, she’s worth it! 🙂

In looking for a new hairstylist, I came across Julia and liked the references to “low maintenance, healthy hair”. Perfect, I like simple and low maintenance. I thought I booked an appointment for a simple haircut and style to try it out. I get an email stating I “booked an appointment without submitting an application first”. I needed to apply? Apparently so or I cannot have my Onboarding Packet and Inner Circle. My what? Already feeling overwhelmed and anxious, I must have done something wrong. Surely this can’t all be for a haircut, this is getting more HIGH MAINTENANCE by the minute! I press on, I click the link to apply, but you can’t move forward in the “application” unless you provide required information I didn’t want to provide. You need a phone number AND email for my emergency contact person? Guess he can expect some new spam now. Wait, I need an emergency contact person for a haircut? The application also wants to know my “love language” and my Meyers Briggs type? Seriously, what is all this?? I manage to complete my application and then receive my, quite lengthy, Onboarding Packet, which lets me know some pretty standard basics, but ALSO lets me know what colors I can wear to my appointment that will suit her aesthetic for photos. It wasn’t a suggestion and never asked for my consent to be photographed and publicly posted. Now I get to be anxious about what I wear too. The packet told me to select my “package” somewhere in the Inner Circle I’m guessing, but I didn’t go that far. Not after the Onboarding Packet told me to expect “more exciting emails” over the next few days. Why?? About what?? I just wanted a low maintenance haircut…

We had a 13th birthday haircut and hairstyle extravaganza! Just what the birthday girl ordered! We did a complimentary consultation ahead of time to work out what the birthday girl would want to do. She loved her experience and looked beautiful for a night out for her 13th birthday. We both got our hair done within 2 weeks of each other and will be going again!
