Critical: Professionalism, QualityI was given a gift certificate for a shellac manicure from a friend prior to covid. Once vaccinated and the spa was open and booking clients I made an appointment. I arrived on time but the manicurist did not show up for work. I waited over 30 minutes before someone could take me. Two different manicurists that did my shellac. The first one being the owner, who was working on another client at the same time. This appointment took a very, very long time. A second manicurist arrived and finished, but did not do a very good polish, leaving a big gap between the polish and cuticle – is this intentional so clients have to go back sooner due to nail growth?I understand they have no control over a no show employee, and were trying to handle the short staff situation.When I was paying the owner wouldn’t accept the gift certificate, saying it was purchased when the spa had a different owner, changing hands when they were closed for business during covid lock down. It’s still the same business and name. The owner agreed to give me $5 off the bill.I paid and left but will not go back, and will not refer any customers. The owner was a bit rude, didn’t seem to care I had been there for close to 2 hours, didn’t offer any apologies, the shellac was poor, and refused to honor the certificate. In the end, they received 2x the cost for the service, minus a $5 credit. I was given a gift certificate for a shellac manicure from a friend prior to covid. Once vaccinated and the spa was open and booking clients I made an appointment. I arrived on time but the manicurist did not show up for work. I waited over 30 minutes before someone could take me. Two different manicurists that did my shellac. I’ve had back problems for years and the new owner Recommended I get a massage from Andrei after I had Not found relief with other masseuses there. Andrei gives the most amazing sports massage! He is the only person who has ever been able to give me relief from the pain I suffer from due to a couple of bad car accidents. The new owner Eleanor is always so amazingly helpful and sweet! I just had my first Mani/pedi there today from Monica & she was awesome too. I am always 100% satisfied with the service & care I receive. When I first discovered this hidden gems out 2 years ago, I wanted to keep it a secret! I’ve had back problems for years and the new owner Recommended I get a massage from Andrei after I had Not found relief with other masseuses there. Andrei gives the most amazing sports massage! He is the only person who has ever been able to give me relief from the pain I suffer from due to a couple of bad car accidents. The new owner Eleanor is always so amazingly helpful and sweet! I just had my first Mani/pedi there today from Monica & she was awesome too. I am always 100% satisfied with the service & care I receive. Love this place! ❤️
