Positive: QualityWhen my regular massage technician moved from my hometown, I began, in earnest, the search for a facility that would provide me with the same experience and quality of massage. It is worth noting here that I do not need massage for any medical reason or issues. The benefits for me are the relaxation and mental break that it provides me. This is what made the search so difficult as many of the local practices took a more clinical approach.Upon a recommendation from my sister-in-law, I made the trip to Newark and A New You Massage. Upon entering, the atmosphere and décor is such that you are immediately put at ease. The facility has the equipment to accommodate a quick chair massage and rooms for the extended sessions. The staff is genuinely friendly and greet you right away. There is a slight language barrier, so you may have to be patient and specific when speaking.The massage rooms are comfortable and adjusted for relaxation. The quality of the massage was outstanding. The masseuse is respectful and quiet during the session, usually only speaking when asking if the level of pressure is acceptable. Once my session was complete, I felt much better and was able to relax. When you pay for your session, you are given a bottle of water as it is always recommended to drink plenty post-massage.I have actually returned to New You additional times since this review. When my regular massage technician moved from my hometown, I began, in earnest, the search for a facility that would provide me with the same experience and quality of massage. It is worth noting here that I do not need massage for any medical reason or issues. The benefits for me are the relaxation and mental break that it provides me.
