Decided to dye my hair on a whim and visited LaVonna at Color Studio for the first time this past weekend. I was definitely nervous since I’ve had dark, black hair a majority of my life but LaVonna walked me through options and helped me pick out what would look best. I went from dark hair to a lighter/ carmel brown and have been so excited about it since I walked out of the studio! Really glad it turned out so well 🙂 and LaVonna is also such a happy and friendly person to work with!

the color studio has a great staff, i especially enjoyed Allison Gaspard, she’s so professional and a very sharp girl. Shes definitely a great stylist. The product line of Bumble and Bumble is an incredible like but they also have Wella products for a more reasonable budget and the color is off the wall, especially the hand painting skills.

I LOVE Color Studio. I came to them with a big request…..taking my dark brown hair to white blonde. They were so excited about this project. Lavonna and McKayla research all the different techniques for lightening hair on their own time and even went to forums to get other stylists’ opinions. McKayla met with me before hand and made sure I knew how it would effect my hair, how to maintain it, and how much it would cost.

I LOVE COLOR STUDIO!! It is by far the best salon in Lawrence. Amber Medlen is my stylist there, and all of her work is AWESOME!!! She does bright, platinum blonde color in my hair along with a great cut every time, I wouldn’t go to anyone else!

Didn’t start off as a good experience she was running behind so was a 1/2 an hour late getting to me to do my hair having me wait in chairs. Then she didn’t even wash my hair just sprayed some stuff in it then curled it Then pulled it slightly back wasn’t impressed with how it looked then she seemed to only spray hairspray to hold the curls in the back leaving the front to come out before my wedding. This is on top of her re doing the front curls during the time she worked on it. Didn’t seem to know very well what she was doing. No price was discussed with me when I set up the appointment which she had given me 2 different appt times and nothing was discussed when I got there… Ended up costing me 70 bucks as I went ahead and made it a even 70 from the $67 I was charged… Instead of just giving you the receipt and allowing you to privately add a tip she directly takes your card and asks you if you want to make a gratitude putting you on the spot Needless to say for what she did to my hair was not worth what I was charged a total waste of money.

This is the salon for redheads! I don’t color my hair often because I want to look natural. I like the idea of coming in a few times a year and putting back some red into my hair. Color Studio does a nice job of putting in color that fads naturally. Thank you!
