Roxanne is so passionate about what she does and very kind but ultimately my massage was not enjoyable. She was late and started the session with a discussion about Covid which did not put me in a relaxing frame of mine. I had booked a 90-minute Medical/Sport massage but ended up receiving something altogether different with the first full 30 minutes devoted to different gongs and bells clanging next to my ear. The pressure of the massage was too light, even though I had requested firm pressure due to a sore neck.

Roxanne was fabulous! I appreciated her keen attention to COVID-19 precautions; as a nurse this is important to me and provided an immediate level of comfort. Roxanne and Sukima paid attention to all the protocols with CoVid, so we both felt comfortable. They both are highly professional and ensured that we had the best possible experience for a couples massage! Hot stone massage was fantastic and the resonating of the gongs went everywhere through my body. The studio was very nice smelling and the beds are heated, if required. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back next time we visit Orcas Island! Thanks so much!!

She is very passionate about what she does and takes her job seriously and tries hard to ensure a good experience for her customer. That said, I prefer hot stones being used as a supplement or portion of the massage rather than using the stones as a way to massage vs hands. I assumed she would use her hands to massage and just stones for a portion of the massage but she uses the stones to massage 100% including the head. If you want a portion of your massage time to be used for her doing sound therapy and that sort of thing she would be good. I prefer just a good solid massage. There was also a snafu of requiring masks which we didnt know in advance and she had no extra handy and an online intake form but had no paper forms available and she had no wifi and no cell coverage on the island.

Sailing out to Orcas Island is a favorite summertime venture for my family. One of the highlights is getting a 90 minute massage at A Massage by the Sea in Eastsound. Roxanne is absolutely amazing and has the magic touch and perfect pressure for my achey body from being on my sailboat. Her full body Swedish massage and pressure point technique leaves me totally relaxed and relief from tight muscles. Her spa is lovely, clean and very welcoming. It will be going on ten years that we have treated ourselves to her relaxing massages at A Massage by the Sea and looking forward to our next one.

Roxanne was absolutely spectacular. She not only gave me a great massage, but incorporated elements such as tuning forks and hot stones for a truly relaxing, body-rejuvenating experience. She was also the sweetest person ever and kept in check with me from time to time to ensure I was comfortable. Her studio smells incredible and is so incredibly warm and inviting, especially on a cold winter day. I hope more people discover her!

This was the best massage I ever received. I loved the experience of the Orcas Seaside Special while relaxing in the beautiful Renaissance room. From the tuning forks and the singing bowls to the hot stones and music, my massage experience was incredibly relaxing and wonderfully therapeutic.
