This was the absolute worst lash experience I have ever had, which resulted in an irreversible injury to my eye. The lashes did not last more than 48 hours. After one week, my eye became extremely swollen and painful. I had to take off work to see a doctor who told me I had a severe infection caused by lashes being glued to the skin rather than the individual lash. My eye was swollen shut for almost a week. After the swelling went down, I realized I’d lost a considerable amount of vision in the eye that was affected. Four months later, I have yet to regain vision and am still suffering from the service I received at A Lash Life.

The owner is not even licensed to practice law in ga so she can’t even call herself a real attorney. Also her whole program is a scam . They take money and don’t provide services you pay for. And if you complain they try to kick you out. This program as well as hudson academy are not worth the money. The owner is a horrible person and a fraud as are her school and staff

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis school known as The Hudson Academy of Esthetics wrongfully expelled my entire class. Some of us spent a year of our time driving to and from this school only to be expelled once we got close to the finish line.If you look at their instagram pages you will see they don’t have pictures of graduates because they can’t be professional and respectful long enough for anyone to finish and leave on good terms.I was told verbatim “if you post 10 good comments we may reconsider your enrollment” but I refuse because I will not be blackmailed into receiving an education I’ve already paid for! They will smile and be friendly in the beginning to get your money then take you out when they feel like it.This school known as The Hudson Academy of Esthetics wrongfully expelled my entire class. Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismThis place also goes by The Hudson Academy. Whatever you know it as, it’s all a SCAM!!! I signed up for the beginners lash class and it was a waste of money (even at the discounted rate). I wish I had seen these reviews before I signed up and purchased the additional materials to use at home.I knew something was wrong right away when I was asked to provide CC info even though I had already paid for everything. The lady explained that they keep it on file for 30 days as fraud protection. I have never heard of a company doing this before. Next, the mother came in during the class to give us what I can only describe as a cheesy infomercial speech. She did all this talking about how us women have to stick together because “we’re all we got” . Meanwhile, you’re taking people’s money and not giving them what they paid for. During this sales pitch, she mentioned what comes in the kit that I purchased. She said we would be shown how to do volume lashes and get a chance to practice after the regular class was done. I was the only one who stayed and the instructor basically just showed me how to do them but I never got to practice myself. She also said we’d get an email with a link to video tutorials. We were supposed to receive that 5 business days after the class. I never received them. I have reached out several times and got no response. I am in the process of disputing the charges. Bottom line, stay as far away from this place as possible!!!!This place also goes by The Hudson Academy. Whatever you know it as, it’s all a SCAM!!! Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI started the Esthetics program in Oct of 2020 I paid in full due to the Owner Faith Hudson stating that if the tuition was paid in full I would receive acceleration training for Microblading, Lashes, Waxing, and Body contouring. Shortly after starting the program myself as well as my fellow classmates realized that we all made a poor decision to start the program with this school and this something was seriously wrong. The information given was fradulent we were not given any of the training that we were told we would receive, the Owner Faith Hudson and her mother Cynthia Hudson did not provide the training that was promised. As time went on the school got worse they would terminate students on a regualr basis that asked any questions or voiced their opinion or and concerns. One day out of no where I received a email along with my fellow classmates stating that we had been terminated from the program with no type of valid reasoning. They would not respond to emails so we spoke with an Attorney where we later found out that the Owner Faith Hudson who stated she was an Attorney and required for the students to call her Attorney Hudson was not a Attorney. This school is fradulent they sign students us for the program by persuating them on IG, they take the tuition paymenst and after that they have no care for your well-being. They have terminated so many students for no reason at all. i AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and I feel disrespected as a person that someone who claims to be an Educator and Attorney (Faith Hudson) and someone who claims to be a Pastor (Cynthia Hudson would be scamming students who are trying to get ahead in life. Not only did I lose my hard earned Tuition money I also losted time that I cant get back and my drive and determination this process was suppose to be a great experience and it turned out to be a nightmare and the sad part is that they have no remorse for what they are doing to people by ripping them off of an opportunity and money. I pray that this message will get the attention of anyone who is interested in starting the Esthetics Program with the Hudson Academy to make them aware that this school is a scam and a rip off. Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismIt honestly took everything in me not to post this. It took me so long to post a review because I had some type of hope that Faith & Cynthia Hudson (the owners of A lash life, The Hudson Academy, The Lavish Lash Life, Hudson Capital Venline, or whatever name they’re using).I started at this school in December of 2020 with the excitement and hopes of becoming an licensed esthetician in 6-9 months as their ad stated. When I first reached out to Faith Hudson she was extremely professional, she was nice, she even told me her story which at the time was super inspirational. Inspirational because she was a young black woman creating an avenue for up and coming entrepreneurs and young black professionals like myself. It’s not everyday that you find a black owned esthetics school. I was so excited that the day of my open house I paid my deposit and was set to start school the following week. If I knew then what I know now I would have never gone to that establishment, put on a smile for Faith, & expressed my excitement to become an Esthetician to her. In a short amount of time she and her mother stole the smile I once had. They stole my joy and my excitement. They honestly sent me into deep depression for months that I can gladly say I’m out of.Quickly after starting their school, in the beginning my my experience was fine. There were students going there that had been there for months before I started and they would complain to our class about how much they hated it. However for me and my classmates that wasn’t our experience. I believe a few months after starting they appointed me “student of the month” due to my hard work, me never turning in an assignment late, and my high test scores. My relationship with my instructors were great and my relationship with faith was great as well. Her mom, Cynthia, however didn’t know my name but I didn’t think too much into it. It wasn’t until months later things didn’t start to add up. My classmates and I did calculations and realized that we were not going to finish school in 6-9 months like they promised. We were only going to school for 2 days a week for 4 hours. Some days they would cancel class with no real reason. Some days we would come in to no lesson plan or instructors. We honestly would be there winging it. We started asking them questions via email because that was the ONLY way they would allow us communicate with them when there were concerns. The emails would be ignored, Faith would come into the building and not speak to us and avoid us. We would literally walk on eggshells around her and Cynthia Hudson. However, when classmates owed them money for tuition they would blow up their phones and their emails harassing them for money even though our emails were being ignored. They honestly didn’t value us. If you disagreed with anything they said they would literally threaten to kick you out of the school and tell you to pay this outrageous amount of money. They kept enrolling new students even though there was no space, not enough instructors, we would run out of products, they would have us using dollar tree products on clients faces, they didn’t care about the clients or their skin care needs. They would only care about their money. We were in school to learn however they would try to make us pay for products to service their clients. How are we going to pay for products and we’re unemployed and some of us literally spent our last dime to come there. It was honestly no human regard for us. I was harassed multiple times by Cynthia, I was forced to call Faith “Attorney Hudson” although she is not an attorney, I was kicked out of school multiple times for things that I didn’t do. How am I getting kicked out of school and I was just named student of the month you might ask? I can answer that, it wasn’t until I started to speak up that I was honestly being “blackballed” at their school. Finally in July of 2021 they kicked me and my whole class out of school due to someone warning people on Instagram of their fraudulent behavior. I say all of this to say please run!!!It honestly took everything in me not to post this. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI have been a student within the Hudson Academy Esthetician School. What drew me to this program was the trendy curriculum, diverse staff and entrepreneurship focus. I am a virtual student but I travel to Marietta for one weekend every other month from Washington, DC for on campus training. My room and board is paid for during those times. The Hudson Academy team has been super supportive and communicative. Ms. Miller shares her years of knowledge with us. She teaches us two days per week virtually at night! The teachers within the esthetician program have years of industry experience. The campus is very clean & the aesthetic is wonderful! I am very satisfied with my experience so far and am proud to be apart of this academy. I attended an esthetician school before this one which was located in Philadelphia. I was the only African American student in my class. I dropped out of that program and transferred to the Hudson so I could learn from people who look like me!I have been a student within the Hudson Academy Esthetician School. Critical: ProfessionalismFor the last couple weeks I’ve been looking for a school to do as a esthetician school with and I came across this business when looking up on the reviews I saw a whole bunch of bad reviews claiming that the owner and the mother were scamming a bunch of young women of color out of money and not giving them the proper education. the shade room also did a report on this business . as I’m still looking for schools this business came across my search again and I see that all of the reviews that were there are gone. As a business owner if you know in your heart and soul that you are on the right side and on the legal side of things why are you taking down all of these reviews all you are doing is proving that all these ladies were right and you are scamming them out of money. For the last couple weeks I’ve been looking for a school to do as a esthetician school with and I came across this business when looking up on the reviews I saw a whole bunch of bad reviews claiming that the owner and the mother were …More

This business lacks integrity. She sells these lash packages, schedules the appointments on top of each other, puts all fans/clusters on your lashes and forces you to just be ok with that. This may be fine for someone who wants thick lashes but for someone who wants a natural look…it’s not happening.

Scammers taking from young ppl who just want to better themselves is as low as it gets. The owner takes money from ppl just to “flex” a luxurious lifestyle on socials.. She should be ashamed of herself! I dare you to send an email threatening me bc all you’ll do is make me leave more reviews on every website I possibly can that is attached to this so called “business.” Leaving an honest review is NOT cyber bullying. I see why you have a “F” on the BBB site; the F is for a failed fake fraud. Stay away from both this company as well as Hudson academy. REFUND THESE PPL THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY!
