I did an SNS on Thursday with my own long nails. I been growing them for a year now. By Saturday gel polish started to fell off and peeling. Two of my nails where cracked. I called Monday and told them what was happening. Because of work I went in on Thursday with my nails broken. I explain to them. And at the end, after they know I been growing them for a while and now there broke. They charge me 5 dlrs for the broken nail. SNS was soo thin that it didn’t hold it. The girl try to blame it on me … and I explain. NO. I been growing them and been doing SNS for a year now. And this is their le poor job. She still charge me … and it is not about the 5dlrs. Is about having your customers happy. If already explain to them what happend they should be able to make a customer happy. The girl even asked me what I do for a job. Maybe just to blame my broken nail. I said I type all day, she said it was broke because of that. And now guess what after 3 days this happened my nail broke (other finger). I guess I been typing a lot during the weekend.

The people are very nice and I usually get acrylics done there but this time I got a gel manicure and 1 day later the polish started to chip off. I went the following day and they fixed it for free which I appreciate. Fast forward 2 days later the polish is chipping again and 2 of my nails no longer has polish on them. It hasn’t even been a week and my manicure looks like it’s been 3 weeks. Very disappointed on how they came out and I got them done for a trip Im about to go on and they look so awful.

My nail stylist seemed to rush the forming of my acrylic tips, but I kept a watchful eye and he addressed any concerns I had. He did a nice paint job, and my full set only cost $35. The other workers were all very friendly and easy to chat with. Definitely worth a visit!

Critical: Quality, ValueI went in for a regular pedicure one day, there was a soccer game on the. The man doing my toes decided to watch the game while doing my pedicure. He wasn’t paying attention while buffing my nail and buffed my skin. Then when I pulled my foot away from him when I felt pain, he put some blue-ish green drops on my toe and proceeded to do my pedicure. The next day, my toe started hurting. After a few days it turned red. Now it’s been 2 weeks, I went to a different salon for my pedicure and when the girl doing my nails took off the gel polish, she showed me that my toe nail is falling off! It’s half way lifted off my skin. I will never go back to AK nails again. I hope they train their techs to do better. I went in for a pedicure 9/8/19 and when I got there they were very friendly. The wait wasnt horrible and the shop is beautiful. However when I went back for the pedicure my water was hardly room temperature and I sat with my feet in it for 30 minutes as it just got colder. After 30 minutes a gentleman finally came back and took a seat to start. I told him the side of my toe was hurting and he nodded yes. Then came the some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. He proceeded to cut the around my nail and slowly pull away. I expressed the pain so he stopped and sprayed acetone on the bleeding toe. Not once, not twice, but on 4 occasions. As soon as the pain seemed to start to dull he would spray agai . I told him it was hurting, to please not do it again. He proceeded to do this to (skin ripping and acetone) on 3 occasions. Two different toes. Just as I was hoping it was over he slid on my flip flops and painted my bloody toes (. I paid and left thinking I could just deal with the pain. However putting on my shoes for work was extremely painful and my toe blew throughout the day causing my sock to stick to the wound. I came home removed socks and shoes and the bleeding started again. I have been coming to this bail salon for years and I’ve never had a quite like this but this is one that I will remember for a long time to come.

I’ve been visiting AK for several years now. I am always satisfied with my nails. My favorite tech is Moon, she does a fantastic job! I’ve gotten gel and dipping powder, they both are great. Nothing ever wants to stay on my nails, but Moon does magic and they last me at least 3 weeks. Thank you Moon!

They’re very pricey but the good thing is is they weren’t busy at all and they actually take their time to do your nails really good. Don’t know if I’ll go back there because of the prices but it might actually be worth it.
