A Cut Above Haircutters

Positive: Cleanliness, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI had been growing my hair for about 3 years and stopped using any heat tools and any additional product other than shampoo, conditioner, and occassionally coconut oil on it. I have A LOT of coarse, thick hair that had been quite long and looked unruly, but this was the look I was going for. I finally decided I needed to have a hair style that matched my age and profession. I messaged A Cut Above on Facebook and was able to immediately book an appointment time that I wanted. I brought a picture of the cut I wanted and Janice really did an amazing job giving me me just what I wanted. I always bring a picture, but stylists always ask me questions that I can never really answer because I don’t know much about the ins and outs of cutting hair. Janice gave me the cut I wanted and asked the RIGHT questions that gave me the look I desired. She was really friendly and her “small talk” that stylists usually do was actually very pleasant. My style is so manageable. This is only the second haircut I’ve ever had in 30 years that I was 100% happy with walking out the door. I’m not great at sticking with one salon because I sometimes am impulsive about changing up my hair. But now I realize that was just because I wasn’t impressed with other salons so I had no reason to go back. So now I will be returning every six or so weeks for maintenance to keep this amazing style. On top of the great service and amazing cut the price was great. I had been growing my hair for about 3 years and stopped using any heat tools and any additional product other than shampoo, conditioner, and occassionally coconut oil on it. I have A LOT of coarse, thick hair that had been quite long and looked unruly, but this was the look I was going for. I finally decided I needed to have a hair style that matched my age and profession. I messaged A Cut Above on Facebook and was able to immediately book an appointment time that I wanted. She made his hair completely uneven to the point that his mom had to say something in order to get it “fixed”. When she got back to my hair I told her I was growing my side bang out & to just trim the dead ends off. I didn’t want to write this review as I normally only write positive ones. I have only been there one time so I don’t know how the other stylists are, but the very young woman I had did not seem to have a lot of experience. Halfway through my haircut she took someone else. She made his hair completely uneven to the point that his mom had to say something in order to get it “fixed”. When she got back to my hair I told her I was growing my side bang out & to just trim the dead ends off. Instead she parted my hair in the middle and gave me full bangs across my forehead & my haircut is also totally uneven

When the hairdresser realize she was running behind, she used a high temperature hair dryer blowing steam and burning my hair.
