This place is great! I was looking for a no frills massage spa that offered an array of services for a cost effective price in my neighborhood and after researching Yelp, I decided to give A Beautiful Day Spa a try. I took a look at their website, which was very easy to use and informative and was able to quickly book a massage appointment online. I was happy because there were a few same day and next day appointments available, which was just what I needed due to an aching back, so I went ahead and booked a 60 min Swedish/ Signature Massage for $55. (Note: there’s a $5 discount for this service if you pay in cash.) The price was too good to pass up.

I have been here many of times and purchased many gift certificates for families and friends to come here; but today was an unpleasant visit. First off I woke up to a text this morning stating that I did not put a card on file from Metzli. She wanted me to send my card thru a message. I called the spa 3 times a the person never picked up and said anything. I messaged back stating I put a card on file when I booked it doesn’t let you book without doing so. Also, let put in the message that I tried calling and the lady responded back “I was checking in another guest.” I responded that I felt it was fraud and did not feel comfortable with sending my credit card information again especially thru text when I put it thru on the website with booking. The lady then called me back and stated what she said and I let her know I would not be sending the card thru text. I went and added thru the website yet again and the my charged my card. I then get to the spa 5 mins late it was hard getting parking. Then the lady at the front Cleo was rushing us she said because we were late she could not let us fill out the forms. They ended our hour massages 15mins early and then while getting dressed. The massage therapists went to get the front desk lady Cleo and she comes knocking on the door telling us to hurry she has other people waiting. Then she had the nerve to ask and force us in to giving a tip. She better be lucky my friend is nice cause if it were up to me no tips would have been left. Mind you the last time I visited here a few months ago I was on time for my appointment and had to wait 30 mins past my massage time to be serviced and they didn’t care about that nor did they rush anyone out of the rooms. I’m not tryna make it a race thing but if I had to evaluate the situation I would say that’s what it was. I was the only black person being serviced the last time I came and today we were the only black people and the people waiting were Chinese. I don’t appreciate being treated like I did today and the last time with being serviced late but I never complains because I didn’t mind. However, now I do considering my experience today Cleo & Metzli have left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be visiting this place again nor will I be recommending anyone here. I will not buy any more gift certificates. Clean up your act and do better and don’t treat people different cause they are black. I work hard for my money just like the other races do and I am spending it with your company so I expect to be treated the same as any other race that walks thru that door!
