I received a $225 gift certificate for a laser service for my birthday the very beginning of November. Today is 1-11-23 and I’ve yet to use this, because of scheduling issues. I’ve reached out several times to schedule, and also more than once to ask what I needed to do to prepare for the laser service because I’ve never done it before. I had to ask more than once because she brushed it off. The last time I messaged to try to schedule, 12/6/22 she said she’d check her schedule and message me back. She did not. I messaged today to ask for a refund because it’s obviously not going to get schedule. I was told gift certificates are non refundable. So she was paid to fill out a piece of paper and that’s it. I don’t get off work til 5pm Monday thru Friday, according to Google office hours for this place is til 6pm. Karen does not schedule after 5pm. Things like that should be openly disclosed when ppl are buying gift certificates. Don’t waste your time or money at this place, very unprofessional. Very hard to get a response. And very very difficult to schedule.

Unprofessional. I made an appointment through the Vagaro app, and the person I made the appointment with waited until the night before to cancel my appointment and tell me she was unavailable. I could’ve booked with someone else in the meantime and saved time. Go to Luxe Beauty Bar in Barling.

Positive: Quality***UPDATED***had microblading in NY very recently that needed correction, a coworker recommended Christina so I called for a consult and she recommended the hybrid technique. I immediately felt comfortable-she was knowledgeable and down to earth, clearly experienced. Just got them done today but I can already tell the color is sooo much better from when I previously got them done, already happier. UPDATE 6 months later- I ended up needed a 3rd touch up which Christina did no problem just for a little filling in but they already & still do look AMAZING! I get so many compliments. My NY place not only screwed them up but had to use rulers to draw on & the aftercare was very complicated. Christina drew my brows free hand, her aftercare was so simple, and the color is perfect. I will never not have my brows done again.Service: Microblading***UPDATED***had microblading in NY very recently that needed correction, a coworker recommended Christina so I called for a consult and she recommended the hybrid technique. I have to say the staff is pretty impressive. I had a consultation on vein removal treatments. Stacy took the extra time to go though the entire procedure with me to put my mind at ease. I am pleased with my results! I will definitely be coming back.

Critical: ValueI think I will cancel my daughters hair appointment. I just brought my mom in to get her hair colored with low lights and highlights and the dark haired stylist informed my mother that she can’t get red out of hair bacuse it’s caused from iron in her water. Plus she used a round brush FULL of hair and most were blonde and grey looking. So it wasn’t cleansed before using on my mother’s hair. Then she dyed my moms entire head then washed then put highlights in. This will fry hair. This is not sanitary or right. So we will be using a different salon. I’m not taking the chance with my daughters hair. Plus when we got there and explained what my mom wanted she just kept saying no she thinks something else would be better. When you are a stylist you must style as the client prefers not what the stylist wants. And just and FYI, her stylist in mena gets the Ted out with no issue but I thought taking my mom to the salon to be pampered would be a great experience. Everything but the hair appointment was. Will not be going back. Update! My moms hair is very uneven. The hair dresser Yvette did not even compare sides!!! My mom did not get the cut or color she wanted because Yvette only wanted to do what Yvette wanted to do!!! And where was your license??? Was it hanging on the wall for the clients to see??? I didn’t see it nor did my mom or daughter!!! So bad cut bad color and if I could post the texts we had back and forth I will show where she admits to my statement where I told her that she used a dirty brush FULL of blonde and grey hair and she said”It’s a salon so there’s hair on everything.” Even though Arkansas health department code states that all brushes are to be cleaned and removed of all hair before touching another clients head!!! This will be reported to health officials!!!!Services: Hairstyling, HaircutI think I will cancel my daughters hair appointment. Critical: ProfessionalismReviewI have honestly spent a lot of time deciding rather to post this review or not, but at the end of the day I wish I would have seen an honest review before I decided to use this business. I am in no way trying to slander the company or the workers. Over a year ago I had a consultation with Stacy at Affinity Salon and Spa in Fort Smith for laser tattoo removal. She was so nice, so understanding, she explained the process of the laser shattering the ink and water flushing the ink through my system. She showed me some before and after pictures that she had previously done. She then showed me some before and after pictures that surrounding competition had done and assured me that she would not scar my skin the way that the others leave people with. She quoted me $400 per session which included my arm tattoo along with my hand and my fingers. She asked some basic information, took payment, and we started the process. I went back for a $400 session every 4-6 weeks. I had no cold compressions, no icing, no knowledge given to me except to be careful for a few days after each session. After each session she rubbed some hydrating lotion or Aquafor and told me not to wrap it. I was given a free session in December due to already having multiple sessions with little to no change, I was given 2 sessions with a discount, and I fully paid for 7 sessions. So, at the consultation she estimated 7-8 sessions. I paid $3200 for 10 sessions completed. I drank 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon of water a day, exercised, did not have sun exposure, did not soak in water, and my tattoo looked almost the same as I began the procedure. I have been laughed at by many people for continuing the treatment but I honestly thought it was just a long process. I did some more research and I found a competitor in town that literally specializes in laser treatment. The machine they use is an up to date laser. The technician is a RN. I had to sign waivers and consents before treatment. The price was less than half of what this company was charging me. When I went in for the first session I was iced and screened medically.. I was also told of the dangers of the laser. During the session while the laser it my skin there was also a tube of cold air blowing against the skin as well.. and after session is complete ointment was placed on the area and a secure wrap was done.I reached out to the originally business that I gave my business too and trusted for this process and was honest with them. I was apologized to because they couldn’t help me… and offered a salt and water scrub for my hand tattoo. The owner never reached out, never contacted me… I referred people to them and actually brought someone there for laser treatments in the beginning of my process. I have promoted the business as well as some of the skin care products but I will never ever recommend this business for customer service satisfaction nor laser tattoo removal.ReviewI have honestly spent a lot of time deciding rather to post this review or not, but at the end of the day I wish I would have seen an honest review before I …More
