I was so happy with my wedding makeup by Lexi. I went in for my trial with just a vague idea & she exceeded my expectations. She kept it very natural but was still able to accentuate certain features. The day of, she traveled to my venue and did my makeup, along with my mom, mother in law and bridal party. She was very knowledgeable about what products to use based on each person’s skin and we all got so many compliments. Mine stayed perfect all night despite all the dancing & hugging! I also got spray tans and a full set of acrylic nails with Ashayna before the wedding & they both turned out perfect as well! Highly recommend!

I had inquired about a business card for a cosmetology school assignment along with being new to the area and looking for a new home salon. I literally couldn’t get that out before I was told another group of cosmetology students was already there and that would use up the stylist business cards. I have a balayage needing maintenance and a teenage daughter looking for services as well. I can tell you this place has been crossed off the list. The way you respond to people is everything and I can see why they haven’t been voted the best since 2015.

Absolutely love 5th Avenue! I’ve been going to Jess McCoy for 15 years. I’ve had my hair every color and length and I’m impressed with how educated and professional the staff is there. Always learning a new technique and continuing education. I had my first visit to 5th Avenue today and was so delighted I had to write a review! Everybody was so friendly, the atmosphere is luxurious and relaxing. My lovely stylist Lexie listened to my hair concerns and questions attentively and talked me through everything she did for my stubborn, crazy curls and I ended up with a curly cut that I LOVE! It was like a haircut and a master class in curl care all in one! Can’t recommend enough and I booked my second appointment that same day! Thank you 5th Avenue 🙂

Everyone was very nice and professional, including my stylist. I have curly type 3b/3c hair and asked for a trim and shaping, and most importantly to keep my length. Unfortunately, it just did not turn out how I expected. My hair was cut dry and looked cute at first, but also looked way shorter than I anticipated (especially the back). After it was washed and styled, it was even shorter than I thought because my type of curly hair shrinks without enough weight, which is why I always keep it at least shoulder length. For reference, my curls went past my shoulders prior to the haircut, but now hang 3 inches above my shoulders. I estimate this will take 2 years to grow out.

I had a curly cut and highlights here a couple years ago and still remember the experience because of how rudely I was treated. Jessica who is part owner just wanted to rush me along and not answer my questions. She talked down to me. She was unwilling to take the time to answer my questions thoroughly she just wanted to get started and did not really care about getting the best results for my hair. As a result I got the most expensive cut and highlights of my life and was completely unhappy with the results. The highlights came out completely red(which was not the look I was going for) and the styling of my curly hair was not good either. I could overlook all of that if it wasn’t for the condescending rude nature of the stylist. I just can’t believe she is the co owner. I would not recommend this business.

I absolutely LOVE everything about 5th Ave. From the moment you are greeted at the front door until the time you leave, you feel you are their primary focus with a strong desire to go above and beyond and get it right. I especially value Jess (co owner) for not only what she does to and for my hair but also for how she develops and mentors new stylist to become true masters at what they do. It is evident she loves what she does. There’s many salons to pick from and I know where I can trust…making my 1.5 hour drive there so worth it!!
