My usual hair stylist, Jessica, (who is awesome) was going to be gone for an vacation and I was past time for highlight touch up and cut. Another stylist contacted me to say she was available. I believe her name was McKaylia. I told her I wanted my hair to be collarbone length with long layers. I asked about warmer highlights and she said she didn’t think it would work because of my graying hair. She did say she could use a toner to warm it up however I never told her to go ahead and do that. If I’d agreed I’d think she’d have shown me the color of the toner prior to application. She did use a toner and it was not applied evenly. There’s a orangish circle on the top of my head. Her foil work was messy and sporadic. I’ve never had foils that looked so horrible! When she left to go to the back room for the upteenth time because she kept running out of bleaching solution, I asked another stylist if she was new and had she done highlights before. She told me no she wasn’t new and had done highlights before. When she went to do the cut I noticed and spoke up about how short she was cutting it and she said she was cutting it short in the back because it she was going to angle it to be longer in the front. I told her that’s not what I asked for but it was too late at that point. My hair was cut chin length and I was horrified! She didn’t charge for the cut but the bill was still $120. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a stylist.

I highly recommend her and this salon for a small town feel of being known in a big city for hair cuts for the whole family. I feel so lucky I found her after having kids and needing to get back to self care for me. I feel amazing every time I leave.
