Tamra and Sara specialize in color, highlights, balayage/ombrés, blending grey, haircuts for men, women and children and I-tip bead extensions in 20”, 22” and 26” lengths. Tamra has been doing hair for 16 years and Sara for 20. They have been working together for the last 12 years. Sara also pierces ears for all ages and has been doing it for 20 years. After renting space in town for 10 years, Sara decided to build her own building and opened it on January of 2020. In December 2020, Sara got her instructors license and expanded her salon the following year. She is now apprenticing Seryn and Becca. Thanks for checking them out!

First time haircuts for my 3 and 6 year olds. Serin (sp?) was a delight. I believe she was working on her apprentice hours, but that did not matter. She did an amazing job with my boys who were a bit wiggly. I appreciated her patience. Atmosphere is great, would definitely recommend.

I’ve been to 27 Red once before for eyebrow waxing, and that made me want to come back for a cut and color. I was able to get an appointment with Becca, who’s doing her apprentice hours here. She matched the perfect color, gave me an amazing cut, and styled it to perfection. I wish I would’ve know about her when I first got here last year! I couldn’t be more satisfied! I love the vibe of the whole shop, and will most definitely be booking with Becca again.

It’s been years since I’ve been, but I have been to Sara many times for hair extensions. The experience was amazing every single time, with results that blew me away. Those who didn’t know me personally (of course friends&family noticed my hair went from chin to low back overnight) had no idea my hair was anything but natural. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend her! Prices are up front and more than fair for extensions, and the skill here is incredible. Using the microbead method, taking the time to do it RIGHT, and creating a friendly and epic experience, I will be going back in the future. Even if I lived in Anchorage, I would make the trip to 27 Red for this service just to know with confidence that the end result will look great and last a good long while! Top salon, top stylist, definitely has my loyalty.
