221 nails and spa

Critical: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI never post reviews, but my experience at 221 was so bad yesterday that I felt it was necessary. A male started to do my tips for dip powder. He did not measure each tip to my nail he just grabbed the tips and glued them down. After he cut the tips down, I told him that my nails were crooked. (Meaning the tips were not even placed straight onto my nails so even shaped down they are not even on both sides) He gave me a hard time and kept telling me that he will shape them later and asked “Have you even ever gotten your nails done?” The funny thing is, my mother owned several nail salons for 18+ years in the Raleigh area. So I decided to just allow him to continue with his process. He nipped me 5 times and proceeded while there was blood visible on my nail. I watched as he dipped my nails into the “community” color dip with my blood visibly still in the powder. Once done, my nails were still crooked. Another nail tech asked me what was wrong when he walked away, and I pointed out bubbles in my nails from the powder, and how uneven my nails were. My original tech came running once he noticed I was speaking with the other nail tech. He came to “fix” my nails but just shaved off the polish and repainted it without fixing the problems. The picture attached was my nails 20 minutes AFTER my appointment and I was still bleeding! He apologized for cutting me, but he kept blaming it on my cuticles. I never post reviews, but my experience at 221 was so bad yesterday that I felt it was necessary. A male started to do my tips for dip powder. He did not measure each tip to my nail he just grabbed the tips and glued them down. After he cut the tips down, I told him that my nails were crooked. Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI was pleasantly surprised! This is a brand new full set, and I got almond shaped and the gel color DD05. I typically only trust two nail techs in lynchburg to do my nails, but I was in a pinch and 221 was able to fit me in! Aside from the two ladies I trust, I have never gotten a nail tech that makes almond look perfect, but one of the guys here did it. I’m obsessed with them!! They are classy and cute and I will be recommending this place to my friends 🙂 there is also a student discount!Service: Acrylic nailsI was pleasantly surprised! I was pleasantly surprised! This is a brand new full set, and I got almond shaped and the gel color DD05. I typically only trust two nail techs in lynchburg to do my nails, but I was in a pinch and 221 was able to fit me in! Aside from the two ladies I trust, I have never gotten a nail tech that makes almond look perfect, but one of the guys here did it. I’m obsessed with them!! I waited over an hour to have my nails done and he tried to tell me to come back tomorrow ! Absolutely NOT ! And did a poor job at polishing my toes and got mad when I said that I didn’t want them done anymore . I will never let him touch my feet again . LuckilyLinda does a great job with my nails but I will never come back here ever again! Linda is the only one I allow to do my nails and Tommy is the only one that can do my pedicures. I go once a month and my set and pedicures last every time. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because for the past few months, when I’ve tried to make an appointment Linda has been booked. I have set times that I can get my services done. She will try to fit me in but it’s becoming increasingly hard. Otherwise, I love this place! I’ve been coming here for about 2…going on 3 years. Linda is the only one I allow to do my nails and Tommy is the only one that can do my pedicures. I go once a month and my set and pedicures last every time. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because for the past few months, when I’ve tried to make an appointment Linda has been booked. I have set times that I can get my services done. She will try to fit me in but it’s becoming increasingly hard. Otherwise, I love this place!

Linda has been doing my nails and pedicures for almost eight years. I drive from Nelson County once a month just to see her. She does an amazing job, as does everyone else there. They take their time, no matter how many customers they have. If you aren’t sure about the color you picked, no biggie….they will change it, and go above and beyond to make sure their customers leave happy. Thank you Linda for my summer nails. I love them! ❣️

The massage chair was broken so we had to sit separately, the male who worked on us cut up our feet and had a very poor attitude. One girl across from us got the wrong color from him and he messed up our color as well. DO NOT GO HERE. It cost $20 but the emotional trauma was not worth it. We went and waited 2 hours. My friend took me here for my birthday, her water was scorching hot and mine was freezing cold. The massage chair was broken so we had to sit separately, the male who worked on us cut up our feet and had a very poor attitude. One girl across from us got the wrong color from him and he messed up our color as well. DO NOT GO HERE. It cost $20 but the emotional trauma was not worth it. I went in for a fill in and 3 broken nails.. a man did my nails he glued them on all side ways did not measure them to my Other nails I already had on.. so they were different lengths. I got gel Polish.clumpy not smoothly painted & not clean work. When he was finished I still had dried Acrylic on my fingers.witch I had to get off myself at home.
