I’ve been here many times, sometimes with my wife for a couples massage and sometimes on my own. This is a very nice and we’ll appointed spa. The masseuses have all been very good, with one merely good (but she was only there a short time). It is fairly normal to pay the fee up front, and any tip at the end. I have never been hassled or cajoled for a tip. The couple’s room is large and well-appointed, as is the lower bathroom. At $70/ hour the rate is $10 higher than other places but that is reflected in both the setting and the staff. I tend to tip generously as this is hard work (I like a hard deep-tissue massage) and these are small businesses.

I came here a year ago with my wife for a couples massage and we had a great experience and were recommending it to others. We came back for another couples massage 2 weeks ago and our experience was very disappointing compared to last year. We arrived 15 minutes early and were able to go right in so there shouldn’t have been any time constraint but they still didn’t give us a full hour, closer to 50 minutes. During the massage my wife’s masseuse also left the room twice. Both masseuses also fully pulled down our underwear exposing our entire butts during the massage without first asking if it was okay which was odd. Finally, the part that left a bad taste in our mouth and will make us no longer want to return was when it came time to pay. We handed the lady in the front our credit card and she asked us how much we wanted to tip. I told her an amount that worked out to a little over 20% and she replied “each?”. I told her no, total. She replied “no” and shook her head, telling us that wasn’t enough. I have never under any circumstance had someone tell me that my tip wasn’t enough, especially given that I was already tipping over 20%. She told us a number that worked out to 25% was the minimum. We were astounded that she was demanding a larger tip but just wanted to get out of there at that point so we agreed while also voicing our frustration. We won’t be returning after this experience. I can understand if we had not wanted to tip or something that she would say something, but flat out telling me that 20% is unacceptable and not running the credit card is no way to run a business.

This is real massage where it actually releases muscle and tissue tension. They’re professional and knowledgeable of the body and stress points. I already feel better. I’ve been looking for a place for a while and kept finding massage therapists who won’t apply any pressure, and feel zero improvement. This place is great!
