I’m highly impressed and thankful for the Doctors and dermatology department at the University of Iowa. They have helped me manage conditions with the best technology available today.

I actually loved the doctor I was seeing but scheduling is a complete joke. I had completed 4 laser tattoo treatments and had to reschedule my 5th appt because I got sick, they told me I couldn’t be rescheduled until Sept of 2022. How is this appropriate to patients who have already established care? I have a friend as well who received one treatment before Christmas and now she can’t have her second appt until May, when they treatments are supposed to be 6 weeks apart. Just take your money elsewhere because it’s going to take years to get things completed with this office.

After waiting 3 months for an appointment, as the nurse left she told me that I would not see the doctor I had an appointment with but a resident. That would have been fine if the resident was at all any good – she was dismissive of my concerns, did not talk to me about what she thought was going on and at one point just left the room. Then came back with the doctor I should have originally seen and he starts going over the same questions and telling me about all of the prescriptions they are writing but not why and I just wanted to get out of there.

Can’t get in unless you’re dying. It’s crazy they must only have one dermatologist

Just tried to schedule an appointment. Soonest was just over 10 months away. That’s ridiculous in my book. Definitely won’t be going there.

It’s pretty much impossible to get an appointment before your problem already solves itself. There’s understandable busy, then there’s people who obviously just don’t want to work busy. One star is only because there isn’t a no-star option.

Very impolite receptionist. I just called and asked for a visit appointment. After my call she did not even say bye just disconnected the call.

If you can’t get an appointment in a few months then you can’t really get any help here. Useless.
