Well first of all, if you are a potential client of Toni & Guy, don’t even think about booking an appointment without reading this review in its entirety. I have never been more disappointed with a salon, and I have been getting highlights and balayage annually/semiannually for 6 years. I came into this hair salon last weekend getting highlights. I was surprised when my foils only developed for 30 minutes, considering usually it takes an hour plus to develop the color. After the rinse when the stylist was brushing my hair out, FLAKES OF MY HAIR began to fall out. I’m talking tufts of white, wiry bleach-fried hair. And my hair was orange- like orange. I was so upset especially since my hair was ruined for my graduation pics scheduled for the next day. The stylist denied making a mistake and the salon even had the audacity to ask me to pay full price even though my hair was fried and orange. A male stylist went to the back to “call his manager” when I refused to pay full price for the service that left me with completely damaged and wild colored hair. He went on to pretend like he was calling the manager in the back and came out and said, “sorry its store policy you have to pay.” When I asked to talk to this “manager” he refused; clearly, he wasn’t on the phone with anyone back there because I saw him peeping through the door at me. In a couple days I washed my hair and it continued to flake and break away, and it is now a frizzy mess that I will have to go have fixed/treated elsewhere. Clearly there is a lack of quality control for the concoctions of chemicals they are using on clients, and the customer service and desire to make the situation right was completely absent. If the staff had shown genuine remorse for making the mistake I would not be writing this review. I have attached pictures of what I asked for and what it looked like after for your reference. My hair was light brunette before. Supercuts could have done a better job for a fraction of the price.

So I usually go to the Toni&Guy at Sam Hughes (next to the university), but they were under construction and my hair stylist, Jarett, was working at the La Encantada mall location in the mean time. The shop is nice, clean, but really busy (maybe bc all the stylists were at this location?). Jarett did an amazing job making my bob an angled one, then a week later I had my hair colored by Crystal (also works at the Sam Hughes location). When I told her different shades of chocolates and caramels, she out did herself. She lightens my hair without damaging it (it was kinda damaged by the last colorist I found in Tucson), did root smudging to blend my natural black hair to the caramels. LOVE IT! And of course Jarett styled my hair afterwards, this time with body waves, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Great experience from the very beginning, I was a bit anxious about this new salon but was warmly greeted by staff, then a consultation with both my coloring artist and haircut stylist to make sure everyone was on the same page. Then Marcia began concocting a beautiful blend of colors. After a pause Sherman came to wash my hair and assure me that I was on vacation and to let him do all the work. Then he began to trim and made another suggestion for a style, I said I trust you, let’s do it! I am SO happy with my new style, color and hairdressers I highly recommend them to put a great smile on your face and dance in your step again !

Wow! Ryan was amazing. He was a true professional, he communicated with me throughout my haircut as to my thoughts and preferences. After my cut & style my hair was so smooth. It felt and looked like a new head of hair. He gave me what my family called “the best haircut ever!” Love it! Haircut

I’m disappointed. I’ve been at least 4 times, thinking that “you get what you pay for” I’m a person who lives paycheck to paycheck. So, these visits were definitely a splurge, anywhere from $100 th $150.

I’ve used this place twice. Adriana did my cut and style and a great job for my curls. The second visit was for a keratin express. She quoted my $90 but at the end of the visit charged $100 but didn’t tell me that it was for extra product. I followed the instructions that were given and after washing with a recommended product I have not noticed a significant improvement in frizz. I must say everyone is very friendly and I was happy with the cut and style.

Toni and guy in the Tucson mall.l is super clean. Salonstaffed with fun sand enthusiastic stylists. Ryan Dis a talented stylist who has been cutting my hair for severalyears. He pays close attention to new things going on in my life and he actually created new cut just for me based on my active lifestyle!!! He is an incredible listener !!!!!!! Ryan is. The cut he created for me is quite awesome!!! I can pop out of bed, shake my head and my hair falls back into place without needing to style it. My husband loves the style.. he said it is “the cutest do ever. The salon is moving to a new location with all new furnishings I highly recommend this salon and Ryan. Head massage included!!!
