I booked 3 treatments for my mothers birthday weekend over a month in advance. I received a call from Holly the manager 1.5 days before the appointments to say she needed to cancel one of them due to not having someone to perform the service booked. After expressing my disappointment and surprise that they only had 1 person to perform facials, she replied “its not my fault” and offered me 20% off another treatment for that person in the party only or for her to have a facial an hour before (which was too early) or 2 hours after the rest of us. I asked to have Hollys supervisor, Susan, call me back (she hung up on me). I was told she would but she did not.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis was my 2nd visit to ocean place spa and resort this summer. My first visit was on Father’s Day with my kids. We had a great visit my boys utilized the pools indoor/outdoor and loved playing on the beach. Our visit was fantastic. So good that I scheduled a 2nd visit for my birthday this time with my girlfriend. I called made a reservation and tried to negotiate a discount on the price but was told that wasn’t possible. So I asked if he could throw in a free couples massage and he (Julian) agreed. However when I went to book my massage I was told in a hostile voice that they never give complimentary massages. I explained what I negotiated and asked the manager to check with the front desk. They confirmed it was in the notes. She then stormed off and found the manager (Phyllis) who told me they would not honor the complimentary massage and did not offer any alternative solution to a problem I didn’t create. Phyllis and Diane or Sue were more concern with winning the discussion and denying me what I negotiated then they were in resolving the matter so I the customer felt satisfied. This incident may me feel horrible to the point that I will never stay there again. I also wonder if I a African American male was treated this way because of my race. We had a great visit my boys utilized the pools indoor/outdoor and loved playing on the beach. Our visit was fantastic. We were provided new times during the day, when we arrived my appointment went from a 50 minute service to 25 with NO communication. We were promised complimentary wine but of course that never happened either – by the way we did not ask for it! Staff was not apologetic. Relaxing room had no spa water which hydration is key after a massage. The whole experience was horrible and would not recommend. Hotel is run down – it took 30 minutes just to get 2 cups of coffee. Place is overpriced, sloppy and unprofessional. They are not good service providers. I’m only giving a one star rating because there isn’t another option for negative ⭐️ the customer service left much to be desired. Spa manager is rude. They are short staffed over the weekend while they take in plenty of customer reservations for the rooms that are not any thing at all like the website. The refrigerator counter was greatly chipped at the bottom corners the bed was made loosely the made the rug was dingy. The shower was not hot enough and the shower head was rusted and did adjust pressure flow well, so yeah, broken. The terrace was dirty with grimy floors and walls. The safe didn’t work. Ugh. The bedroom scene was trashy compared to the website. The lobby areas were nice enough though a few seating/sofas are barely holding up. But for the most part it was okay. Robert Charlie and Meisha were the best encounters we had. While we waited four hours to check in they were courteous and friendly in a suitable way. They didn’t make us feel like they were having a bad day or that they have an issue with us. This place seems to get a lot of family traffic. As they allow dogs and there were plenty of children with their parents. The better part was that there was a DJ on Saturday and TKA freestyle showed up to perform. There’s complimentary coffee tea in the rooms and lobby that they didn’t tell us about. There were many white people here and after what my boyfriend went through with their poor customer service from the women that seemed to be dishing it out the Spa manager, Denise/ Diane not sure and her side kick Phyllis downstairs. She and Phyllis joined her in that she went out of her way to get involved in our conversation to make the situation worse and left it so that we would be charged for a service that wasn’t provided. Like that one was the worst customer service experience to start the day off there. I wondered if the fact that we we were of color or if it was a power play from these women that played a part into the experience of the service we received.

Amazing spa with great customer service from the front desk associate( Dyneecia) to my massage therapist ( Hanna ) who was so knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best massages I have had. The relaxation area is wonderful with breathtaking views of the ocean. A great way to spend a day of pampering. Will be sure to visit again.

LOCALS WHO LOVED OUR HUSBAND & WIFE SPA DAY! With the help of Diamond at the front desk I planned an amazing relaxing 50th birthday spa-cation for my husband! Diamond was lovely and so very kind and very helpful! we started with a couples lavender soak and that was 25 minutes of pure BLISS followed by Rhenna and Christian making us feel so relaxed durning our hot stone couples massages! We finished our day with Facials with Joy and they were phenomenal, we loved Joy!! The best of the very best 5 minutes from our home on the jersey shore! We can’t wait to come back and enjoy another spa day! Thank you Diamond, Rhena Christian & Joy for making this very special day perfect for us!

Spa is extremely overpriced. Establishment is pretty but not exceptional. Overpriced services and forced gratuity. The facial was $145 for 50 min with a mandatory 18% gratuity fee which was added to the bill along with tax, which turned the service into a $181 facial. Absurd

Horrible! Went for a deep tissue massage for 50 mins it was AVERAGE and I’m being nice. A lot of lotion and every now and then u get a hint of pressure. Nothing like how a deep tissue massage supposed to be. I come out and they add tax and 21% for tips and service. Instead of paying 150 plus tips I paid 192. NEVER again. Don’t even bother going it’s not worth it!
