I recently came here for the first time to get gel/acrylics for myself & my Mom. It was such a fun and relaxing experience! After we walked out my Mom immediately and definitively claimed it as her new place! It is beautifully decorated and clean, the techs are friendly and professional. Our nails still look spectacular! When I step through the doors of The Nail Place of Charleston on Johns Island I feel like I am entering a magic nail palace. I am always greeted immediately by Darcy. She is like a hybrid coordinator and bartender. She will always ask you if you would like a drink while you pick out your nail color and makes sure you are taken care of throughout your manicure or pedicure. She is always honest about wait times. I always have made an appointment, however I have seen multiple customers walk in while I’m there without appointments. If there is no availability, she will be straight forward and tell them that and offer them an appointment when there is time. Some people may see that as being turned away, however I think that is so refreshing and shows they value their customers and employees. No one wants to spend over an hour waiting while nail techs are rushing.

I have thoroughly enjoyed The Nail Place of Charleston on Johns Island each time I have visited. Regardless if I have been a spontaneous walk-in or scheduled an appointment the service has been professional and genuinely welcoming from each nail tech as well as the efficient and friendly schedule manager. The owner is frequently on site and obviously treats her staff and clients well.

My daughter and I went here on Saturday. I hadn’t been here before but was very impressed. I had a pedicure by T and my daughter had a full set and a pedicure by another lady. Both women did a great job. I was so happy with my pedicure that I went back today to see T again and have a full set of acrylics done. I’m very pleased and will definitely be going back.

I was really hoping to love this place, but did not have the best customer service experience. Called yesterday around noon to ask about an appointment (dip manicure, gel pedicure) and was told 1:30 would work (I believe the woman on the phone said something along the lines of “we don’t have anyone at 1:30”) so I drove over from Avondale. Upon arriving, I was told that I was being squeezed in & long story short: soaked my dip nails an hour while they took another person who came in after me, then was made to feel that I was a bother when asking for my gel pedicure even though I made an appointment (“We have people coming in at 4:00.”). I was there for over three hours, only ‘allowed’ to have the classic pedicure ( I was hoping to have one of the upgraded ones) and never offered a water or anything during that time. The 4:00 appointment couple were immediately offered wine as they walked in. While my nails look great, I’m super disappointed to have paid about $140 after tip for such poor customer service and leaving having been made to feel like I was such a bother for coming in. I really hate to leave a poor review for small businesses, but was really bummed about this experience.

So I showed up on time checked in the one girl at the front desk said yes you’re getting a pedicure and a dip powder and I said yes. Went and had my pedicure done. It was fine, and I sat there in the chair waiting for them to call me for the nail dip and nobody even acknowledged me looked at me nothing didn’t come near me no iContact didn’t ask me how my pedicure was nothing, I was ready to walk out but I really needed the manicure and nail dip done so one girl finally started coming towards me and I said am I going to get seated soon and she said what are you having done and I said a nail dip and she said I didn’t know anything about it. I said I’ve been sitting here for half an hour and nobody acknowledged me for anything and you’ve already had customers come and go , the other girl came over and she said she apologized at that point I was steaming steaming, I sat down with a girl, and when I left, I was pretty happy with the nail dip. I hope I can show you pictures of what this nail dip looks like. I had the work done on Saturday and come Monday I already had a chat come Tuesday I had a crack come Wednesday I’m peeling!!! so what do you think I think of this place honestly, I am very surprised. I gave them two stars and I think the only reason why I did was because the salon is beautiful. Other than that I’m good. Don’t think I would be going back again, and I do not want them repairing what they were really screwed up!!!! if I could send a pic I would

I had tips put on and a spa pedicure. It cost me $150 and that doesn’t include the tip amount. Within 4 days two tips fell off and within a week the pedicure was chipped. I didn’t feel like the manicure color was right or the length was what I wanted. It felt very rushed and seemed like she was ready to get my nails done quickly. The pedicure was nice and they do offer drinks.
