This past Wednesday was my first time at The Lake Salon and I had a wonderful experience and haircut. Upon arriving, I was welcomed by Jen, who was warm and friendly! I shared with her that I was planning to grow out my hair so I wanted a short trim with layers. Jen did an amazing job and styled my hair with subtle waves that looked so natural. The Lake Salon, owned and operated by Jennifer.Stanley, is simply superb. Jen is by far the best hairstylist I have experienced in my 10 years living in the Rochester area. I have a particular cut I like and Jen is able to render it perfectly. She also did my eyebrows very well. She is a lovely person and a pleasure to spend an appointment with. Jen and her husband own the building so her overhead is low and she is able to offer extremely competitive prices. I will never go anywhere else!

I can’t speak highly enough of Jen’s salon. Jen is the definition of perfection when it comes to haircutting for Asians. She finds really good balance and gives the best advice every time. This was by far the best experience I’ve had with a hair dresser. I had an idea of what I wanted, but don’t know much about hair coloring. Jen was very welcoming and helpful as well as honest with what would look best and be best for my hair. I put all my trust into her and ended up absolutely loving the results! Having recently moved to Penn Yan I’d been looking for the right place to go to get my hair colored and I hit the jackpot with this salon. I definitely plan to become a regular at this salon until I move elsewhere.
