this was my first time in a barbershop and It’s nothing like television but at least everyone was friendly, i didn’t have to wait long, the person who cut my hair took someone before me and i had an appointment. making the appointment was easy because the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, she made sure i was going to get me an appointment lol. i do recommend this place and i’ll definitely be back to get another design in my head. the music is very versatile, they cater to their customers!

Bought my husband a massage. Massage therapist was great. Environment was horrible. He could hear the game and barbers talking the whole time. No mention of the bar at all. It was not as expected in terms of the environment compared to their website. It’s a barbershop with a small area with a curtain for massage, unfortunately he won’t be back.

The first time I came across this place was a spare of the moment kind of thing and I’ve been stuck here since then. Donovan especially, he’s not just a barber, the man is an artist as well. He communicates well, shares his opinion, and takes his time. You can really see that he cares about the haircut. Things like that matter to me. Overall, the vibe is there. The conversation is there. The music is there. The Gentlemen’s Cave is the whole package. I can honestly say that I have no complaints. Highly recommended and Highly respected

I would take the time and write the following if it was not true. My first few visits were fair. I attempted to continue doing business there and it increasingly got worse. Each appointment I set was behind schedule. First 10-15 minutes then up to an hour. I recently tried to go back after a year of not doing business with them, only to experience the same previous service. Customers time is not a priority to them, appointment or not.

My husband has been getting his hair and beard done at the Gentlemen’s Cave ever since we moved to Cleveland. The first time we have been there, we waited for a whole hour despite coming to the appointment on time. The barber, Kevin, was late, didn’t care about what my husband wanted, and trimmed his hair unevenly. It was horrible to the extent that theinstead I don’t owner offered to get it fixed and didn’t charge us for the haircut. Today, my husband went for his 2pm appointment, the barber was busy with other customers and got done by 2:40pm. We booked for a haircut and a trim, the barber, Miya, decided it was too early for a trim, lined up my husband’s hair and beard, and she was done. We were charged $40 for that. Also, my husband asked her to be gentle because his skin is sensitive, she didn’t care, she just kept going. When I called to complain, the receptionist said they can’t do anything about it, because my husband should have spoken up before leaving. My husband came back mad and frustrated, the back of his neck was extremely red and had some blood, and said he is never going back there again. The barbers are not professional, they don’t value their customers’ time and money.

Looking for a GREAT haircut with a GREAT experience, you must try out The Gentlemen’s Cave Luxury Barber Lounge! My barber of 22 years closed shop last week and I live near the Van Aken Market District, so I gave the Cave a try, and I was amazed and impressed. Lonell was a tremendous barber, friendly and so nice, and I can’t tell you the number of compliments I’ve gotten about my new haircut, leading that list is my wife. The owner who greeted me, Maiya, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I give this barber shop truly top marks as an outstanding business, barber shop, and place to get a haircut. I will be coming here for years!
