The Chair: A Hair Salon

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHad more than a few GREAT experiences here. Im not usually the one to get a haircut or keep it neat as I’m rather picky with who cuts it.. my hair is thick and naturally unruly so it’s hard to find someone that knows what they’re really doing. But here I found the PERFECT spot, Emma knows my hair WAY better than I do, and as a result she’s the only person I trust to get it right. Had more than a few GREAT experiences here. Im not usually the one to get a haircut or keep it neat as I’m rather picky with who cuts it.. my hair is thick and naturally unruly so it’s hard to find someone that knows what they’re really doing. But here I found the PERFECT spot, Emma knows my hair WAY better than I do, and as a result she’s the only person I trust to get it right. Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, PunctualityDon’t go to this salon. I had a terrible experience. The staff was rude and unprofessional. First, the building was CLOSED during my scheduled appointment time. 20 minutes later than my scheduled appointment, when they finally opened, the hairstylist I had booked Emma D. was nowhere to be found. I waited another 30 minutes, when I really should have been at work, before the staff that was there said that they didn’t think my stylist was coming in. They said they could schedule me in next week but I had already waited two weeks for my appointment. They offered me a .5 oz sample of hair mask for my “inconvenience”. Don’t go to this salon. I had a terrible experience. The staff was rude and unprofessional. First, the building was CLOSED during my scheduled appointment time. 20 minutes later than my scheduled appointment, when they finally opened, the hairstylist I had booked Emma D. was nowhere to be found. I was a bit hesitant to schedule at a new place, new person and after this year of COVID. I decided to go online and found the Chair (several of my coworkers love this place) I found the option to book an appointment , choose my services, see the price and dates/times available and bam it was booked. I walked in and everyone was extremely friendly. Angela called me back and made me feel very comfortable, she exceeded my expectations, and my hair looks and feels amazing. I have thick, curly (not the nice soft curl) so my hair is extremely hard to work with and she was able to make it look incredible. I received so many compliments today and felt so good to finally look and feel good. I highly highly recommend Angela, I believe she said she has been doing hair for over 25 years and her expertise shows. Loved her! Looks like I found my new place and stylist. I saw Angela and oh my gosh she is the absolute best. I was a bit hesitant to schedule at a new place, new person and after this year of COVID. I decided to go online and found the Chair (several of my coworkers love this place) I found the option to book an appointment , choose my services, see the price and dates/times available and bam it was booked. They got me in for a same day appointment and beyond met my expectations. Angela was fantastic, compassionate, kind, and provided me with an incredible cut! I actually received a compliment on my hair while I was on my way in to the bad salon to request a refund. I had the pleasure of sitting in Angela’s chair, and let me tell you, she is a godsend in her profession. I have never lightened my hair ever in my life, so of course I was a bit nervous. I previously gotten a balayage a couple months ago, but I felt like I need more, and needed my hair to be brighter. Angela listened to what I wanted, and brought perfection. She went above and beyond (asked for reference photos which I don’t get asked often, gave me an Olaplex treatment, and trimmed up my ends). Angela did such a great job on my highlights! I messed up doing them at home and she fixed it beautifully. She went above and beyond (asked for reference photos which I don’t get asked often, gave me an Olaplex treatment, and trimmed up my ends). Definitely ask for her, she has tons of experience (owned her own salon, been doing it for 24yrs…) Highly recommend!
