Critical: QualityI would not get my hair colored at this salon! I did and it ended up costing me more than $600 and my hair is still a mess. Not everyone is properly trained in hair coloring and they aren’t very good at listening to what their clients want.I choose this salon because it was close to my house and it had good reviews, my mistake. The first time I went in I needed a root touch up, chunky highlights, and a bit of purple coloring. In the end, I winded up with what looked like a bald spot in the middle front part of my head where the grey wasn’t covered, very thin highlights and and a lot of a white blondish hair. The hairdresser was very nice so I gave the salon a second chance to fix my hair and they still messed it up again! I even brought a picture and showed her what I wanted, just a different color purple. So she tried, I thought she understood but she ended up darkening my hair, and went to my Root color which was dark brown a color which my hair has never been. Then to add to the worst highlights I have ever had…the front was crooked which you could see when I pulled my hair back.My hair was still wet so it was hard to see this, but after that she put the purple in my hair which was suppose to be a lilac, but ended up being dark purple you could Barely see because my hair was so dark. Not only did I spend close to $300 there at the salon…but to correct what they did to my hair I had to spend over $300.I went to my original hair dresser, she couldn’t believe what they did to my hair. She is actually does classes on coloring and was teaching two classes at a convention in Chicago that weekend. My coloring wad done so bad, that she asked to take pictures of my hair to show her class on what not to do!She tried to correct what she could, but she couldn’t get it all the way back to normal and now the purple in my hair turned a greenish blue, which really puzzled my hair dresser. Who does all types of rainbow hair.I wasn’t going to write this review but my friends told me I should, because it might help someone. My response to the owner didn’t show up when I wrote it.So I would like to add that – I never mentioned the stylist name because I thought that would be cruel to someone starting out in the business. However, the owner did in her by name in her response!(that is horrible- talk about not supporting other women(you called out your own employee). I did plan in advance, I told her to do what was possible the first one and then I would come in for a second one. If that wasn’t possible we could have done a third one but I should have been informed. As for the cost, I did on each visit leave a 20% tip for her time. You are more then welcome to share any communication I didn’t with her because I was always nice and told her exactly what I wanted.I would not get my hair colored at this salon!
