Bought one of the Nordic spruce saunas and was extremely happy with the result. It gets above 170F with no difficulties and the spruce smells great. The sales staff was extremely helpful with assembly questions.

I bought the foil vapor barrier that they sell on their website (and installed it). Then I had second thoughts and tested it under heat. It’s really plastic, not aluminum foil as stated. Some people use this stuff under the paneling in the sauna. Perhaps it’s cool enough under there. But I really didn’t want a layer of plastic possibly out-gassing. To their credit, they immediately refunded my money. But they haven’t changed the description. Beware if you don’t want plastic vapor barrier. I got the real aluminum foil vapor barrier from A Sauna Place.

Our experience with Superior Sauna was exemplary! From the initial contact asking for information to the completed building of the sauna, we felt it came out exactly how we wanted. This was our first time planning our own sauna so we had a lot of questions and decisions to make. Stacie, our consultant at Superior Sauna, was helpful in providing us with the information we needed to make the decisions in our design, the overall dimensions of the sauna, and the size of heater needed. The timing from placing our order to receiving the shipment was a few weeks, which gave us time to get the renovation of the building it was going into completed. The directions for building the sauna were clear and precise. The materials were packaged neatly and are of top quality. We highly recommend Superior Sauna to anyone who is thinking of building a sauna of their own to enjoy!

My husband and I have been fortunate to experience Sauna with our Finnish friends at their home in Finland, and this is the third sauna we’ve built in the past 20 years. By far, this one is our favorite! Superior Sauna was great to work with, and helped us figure out exactly what we needed; from the vapor barrier, to the heater, the door, the lighting, vents, and everything else, while our contractor supplied the cedar. He was very impressed with the ease of installation of the pre-hung glass door. Superior’s showroom is huge with the most options we’ve ever had to choice from. They had a copy of ‘The Best Part of a Sauna’, a book which explained ‘Sauna’ to kids. I ordered a copy from Amazon for our grandchildren, and they too, have enjoyed Sauna!

Very good customer service. Great selection of products. Great website: easy to find things, nicely laid out. Good information regarding all aspects of saunas and construction of them. I specifically was looking for key sauna parts: a vent, ladles, signs, and I found all of these easily. The vents in particular are very nicely constructed with the right wood for a sauna, and the price reasonable. My wife lived in Finland and we have seen many Finnish saunas. Superior’s parts are on the same level of design. I was very impressed actually with all of the wood products they sell.
