Lovely place. She took my daughter on such short notice for a very enduring hairstyle. By the time it was complete it was around 1am. We were waiting for her in the car and the Braidist walked my child to the door and watched to make sure she was safe with us. She did not have to do that. She also allowed my child to use her phone charger to keep her phone on while getting her hair done. I really appreciated that and it made me feel completely safe. She was extremely knowledgeable in my concerns. Her prices were GREAT for the style I chose for my girl. And again, she accommodated me as a “walk in”. Will definitely be going back and referring.

I wanted to say first these ladies have been braiding my hair for the past 2 years have helped me take care of my hair from short to long I have nothing but great experiences everytime I come.The ladies speak French the most beautiful accents and every single lady is professional and interesting to learn about and speak to. I have had my hair done by every single lady here and I will not be letting anyone else do my hair if I have a choice. Very neat stylish creative braid styles and quick and swift. IESHA is my favorite by far stop by the ladies will take care of you!!!

I will never go to this place again. I showed the stylist the picture and she proceeded to do a completely different style. Another braider came to correct her and it was a little better. However they began to speak badly about me in French. Terrible experience

I had a great experience both times I visited the salon. I always dropped by to make my appointment, versus call. Both times, Miriam braided my hair. I did not know this, but they do not “advertise” washing hair. They can, but I can tell based on the layout of the shop, they want to braid and get you out. Miriam did what I asked each time. She was young and braided my hair very well. My hair is very thick, but she was able to grab the smallest hair and tame this mane. I did not have any hair added into my style. I considered it, but the women in the shop advised against it. Overall, I was impressed. The downside is, they are a braid shop. No more, no less. They do not position themselves as a natural hair salon. I loved my style, but the tightness of the braids really stressed my hair. The upside, my cornrows were in and looked fresh for weeks. Miriam took about 3 hours to do the install. Taking them out took me all day! But the style served it’s purpose for the summer. I will definitely go back, after a good deep conditioner.

Just took my daughter to get some medium sized box braids and when I say they turned out so gorgeous. It only took her roughly 3 and a half hours and she kept asking my daughter was she pulling her hair or hurting her. For the price and the speed and the general good energy of the shop I will make sure I return.

My daughter hair broke off in the back something awful. I wasn’t sure if they would be able to grab it but they did. Her stylist Sister is doing a great job right now. I will be bringing her back here again. They ladies here are very nice and the price is reasonable. Thank you sister your awesome

The ladies here, especially Iysha and Hija do nice work. I’ve gotten my hair braided here on several occasions. However, not all experiences were good. Some of the staff members are very rude, unprofessional, and will put you down (about your hair) in front of other customers. Some won’t try to work with you at all to customize a style to fit your face (realistically, it won’t always look like the picture, especially if the model has a different facial shape than you). If you want an appointment, I advise calling at least two weeks before your desired day (at least you’ll get a spot). This shop gets very busy, especially during the summertime. Another key piece of advice is to wash and condition your hair before service at home (they don’t wash your hair here). The location, Norristown is convenient also, but finding good parking is hard, unless you want to feed the meters. They do all types of braids, including micro, cornrows, individual, faux locs, and crochet braids. Overall, they do good work, but THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ARE ATROCIOUS.

The shop was clean. The ladies were nice but talked the entire time in their native language. My braids look nice; however the style is nothing like the picture I showed the braider. Ugh! I would have preferred her honesty if she knew she couldn’t do the style I wanted. And she braided my edges so tight I can hardly close my eyes. Overall, if you’re looking for Regular braids…just straight and no styling, they would be OK. If you want a particular style go somewhere else. Price was reasonable.
