Sona has been amazing to me! I look and feel so great and totally owe it to Sona and their amazing staff! The ladies here are really sweet and guide me through my aging face concerns, which had previously been kind of discouraging when I looked in the mirror, but they have rebuilt my confidence and my appearance. It’s still me, just smoother and happier. Everyone who works here has been so relatable – they call when I’m due for a re-up AND with little coupons & deals to make it affordable for me! Time slots are important to me as a working mom with busy schedules and they have always been able to get me in, even on a Saturday morning! They ask if I have any events coming up and make sure that I’m scheduled just right so that I can look incredible for any up-coming gatherings. Truly a gem and so grateful to have found this Sona location!!!

I had my first laser hair removal session with Kelly at Sona Dermatology weeks back and I was very pleasant with my experience. Kelly is amazing and was very gentle with me. I was very nervous when I was there, I was afraid that the laser would hurt, but Kelly made it very comfortable and easy on me. She took her time and explained everything and was talking to me the whole time to distract me from the procedure and I couldn’t believe I was done so quick with no pain and also feel a sleep toward the end of it. Also the staff are wonderful and very nice. Thank you so much sona dermatology and Kelly so much. I will be returning soon.

I used to live in Virginia Beach. My botox experience there was with someone who was cold at the bedside and caused me an extreme amount of discomfort, unnecessarily. I moved to Glen Allen in July and begrudgingly made an appointment at Sona for fear of experiencing more pain. I am beyond happy I did!! Ashley was wonderful, kind, patient, gentle and there was very little discomfort! Cookie, the front desk receptionist, was also very friendly and amazing. I will go back without hesitation!

$800 later and still nothing to show for my bikini laser treatment. In July of 2021 I purchased a 6-session package, followed all the treatment suggestions & appointment timings, and wasn’t seeing any results. I hesitantly alerted the manager at the time, Sheena, as I didn’t know what was going on, and she was apologetic, saying the office had begun to use a new type of laser machine months ago (used on me each session) and that they had received very negative feedback about it. Love how they waited to tell me, a laser newbie, until the VERY end of treatments. She said that they would give me free sessions with the new machine until I saw results, but at the end of the second session, the front desk signed me out without issues, but once I was nearly out of the door, called me back saying I needed to pay for the touch-up. I quoted Sheena, and they said she no longer worked there so her word no longer counted. I persisted, and they said they’d let this one slide (as if they were doing me some grandiose favor), and I left completely confused. Months later, here I am…resultless. I work in the beauty industry myself and have spoken to several folks about my results, and they confirm that it’s extraordinarily odd that I have the same amount of hair left 8 sessions later. I feel thoroughly duped and deceived, and the fact that Sona KNEW they were having issues with a new machine and only offered 2 sessions to fix their mistake is a horrible injustice to someone who spent nearly a $1000 and almost 2yrs trying to find a solution. I do not recommend this practice.

Today was my second visit here and I have been very pleased both times. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable and all of the staff is professional yet down-to-earth and friendly. I have gotten laser hair removal at three different other places over the years and their laser is by far the most painless and efficient. Melissa is fantastic and makes the whole experience quick and easy. I also go to Kelly for Botox and I highly recommend her (especially if you are someone who feels nervous about trying it). She is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and makes you feel at ease.

Didn’t know what to expect from Sona Dermatology being that it was my first time doing or even hearing about hair removal. The staff made me feel really comfortable and treated me like family since day one. It’s has been a yr since the beginning of my treatments and man was I shocked. It really works beleave or not lol. I really would like to say thank u Sona dermatology and to your staff for makin the process easy and well manageable workin around my schedule and y’all are highly recommended in my book

Been a patient here for a long time. The staff is wonderful! Incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the people that work the front desk. Can always fit me in for an appointment. Started off with getting laser hair removal to get rid of a seriously crazy lady beard, which thankfully they eradicated- and now I go to them multiple services. They are great!
