I was told I could have a free week of tanning. On the third day, I showed up only to be notified that I was apparently in their system 10 years ago so I would have to pay instead of finishing my free week. Great tanning salon, love the standup beds. Every time I get a membership here after 2 weeks I have a fungal rash. Idk if its because they don’t clean their beds or what. These beds will def get you tan. But you could end up with a rash.

Tried one of the two high pressure beds and wow! Got a nice bronze color now. Just started indoor tanning but came in with a base tan from the beach. Facility is clean, beds are clean, ladies up front are knowledgeable about the beds and products/intensifiers/moisturizers for sale up front. Overall I give Sol Us in Mandarin 5 of 5 stars!

The staff was very nice and the location was clean. However, when I asked the associate about bulbs being changed. She said they change them regularly. So I bought a turbo session and was planning on signing up. While tanning I realized 3 bulbs were out. After the session I ended up speaking to another associate. She turned on the bed there were 6 bulbs out. I said since half the bulls are out do you provide a tan credit or anything. She replied no we do not. I understand if there is a policy. However, someone was not checking the beds if 6 bulbs were out.

I have been tanning with Sol Us since I was 18. That’s almost 9 years now. I have cancelled and restarted services as well as taken advantage of their hibernation option. I will say in the years I’ve used them, I never really had an issue. The quality and cleanliness of each salon (as I’ve been to almost all of them in Jacksonville) has always been exceptional. I can’t remember their names but there was an employee at the St John’s location as well as the Riverside location that was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with her lotion suggestions and how each lotion works and benefits me. I even purchased their new “Going Darker” DHA bronzing drops, which I use at home and absolutely love – especially on my face as I try to not tan my face to keep from skin damaging through over exposure – be it in a tanning bed or in the sun.
