Positive: ProfessionalismCame here for the first time today as a walk in close to closing time. I would have thought that my haircut would be rushed since they were about to close but Adam took his time and knew what he was doing. I have always struggled to find a barber for my son who is 10. After looking on google, I found that I could book an appointment easily right on the same page with the listing. I made an appointment for today and took a chance. It was with Cornell at SoCal Barber shop. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. That surprised me since everytime I go to the barber shop , if I don’t know anyone, I end up sitting for hours without being acknowledged. This time it was great! Cornell greeted us with a smile and honored my appointment. He was professional and kind and made my son feel comfortable and welcomed. As I waited , I admired all the great work the rest of the barbers were doing. They have a lot of talent! Cornell was efficient and fast which was a wow factor for me. He showed a lot of skill and pride in his work and did an amazing job on my son’s cut.

The thing is guys are skilled. Unless you are a regular don’t go here. They don’t remember how you want it and it’s impossible to explain. I’ve gotten it how I wanted it only half the times. You can smell they are weeded out and taking many personal calls and texts while cutting, focus ! I showed him my phone how I wanted it and it wasn’t even close!! At all!!! I ask for a trim on top and sides and I walk out with razor short hair on the sides, I had long hair 2+ inch.

This place does not keep their appointments. I’ve had my hair cut by 2 different barbers and have scheduled multiple appointments with them. When one barber missed 2 of my appointments without any notification, I was no longer going to show up to this barber shop. Then I decided to give it a 2nd chance with a different barber. After a few months, dejavu all over again. Except this time he cancelled the appointment and rescheduled to cut my nephew’s, my son’s, and my hair. When I showed up to rescheduled appointment at 6pm with my family, he left early and told different barbers to cover for him. The other barbers said that they were only going to cut 2 people’s hair when clearly the appointment was for 3. We left the barbershop at 745pm with only my nephew’s hair cut. These barbers need to get it together and have better communication.

I went to this place because my regular barbershop was closed for the day. First off the place sucked in it’s reviews so i was nervous about it already….i came in …got greeted by some guy asking me if i have an appointment…i said no…he told me it will be a while…. when there was 3 barbers not doing squat!….got my haircut done eventually by some amateur barber/stoner…(guy could barely communicate)….he messed up my hair …left a bunch of patches.also he took almost 2 hours….all in all….terrible experience…i was in the military and even there with their 5 min. Haircuts i got a better haircut than this place. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND
