The first time I went there, she did a great job and I was very happy. However, the second time was the worst haircut I ever had. She chopped it far to short, it was uneven all along the front, and the back looked just terrible. I came out looking like an 8 year old. The next day I went back and politely asked for a refund, which I’ve never done before. The haircut was that bad. To this, she became very abrasive. I tried to compliment her on the first time she cut my hair, but she ended up telling me to “leave and not come back.” Very unprofessional.

Just what I was looking for in a local privately owned (not a chain) barber shop. Good haircuts at a fair price. Staff is friendly and professional, and have great stories of local interest. Was in the chair once when a pig walked in to visit (the pet of an adjacent business owner). Not every place where you can get a good haircut and see a pig at the same time! I recommend Smokey’s.

Terrible. Smokey barely spoke the whole time and when she did it was about how people who didn’t grow up here aren’t real locals. That felt very welcoming to someone who had clearly just moved here (sarcasm). When I asked her politely to fix a mistake on my hair she had made, she responded with “Well if you’re looking for perfection, I don’t know what to tell you.”

Nice barber, but did not cut my hair like the pictures I supplied. Cut way too short, and took all the natural “lay” of the hair. Now, unless it’s just been washed and styled, it tends to stick out all over the place, and hasn’t done that in many years. Pretty disappointed. Will be going elsewhere next time, after the many months it will take for my hair to grow out to a point where it can be cut again. If you want a short men’s haircut, or a military style, this is the place for you. Otherwise….

What a great spot. I called ahead looking for a place that would be open because I was driving down from Ohio on a business trip. Stayed open an hour late for me to get my hair cut. Took her time and treated me perfect. Hope to stop back next time I am driving through.
