Don’t let the location scare you!! I get my hair highlighted and used to go to all those expensive salons: Mario Tricocci, Salon Bliss, etc… until I decided to just give Walmart’s SmartStyle Salon a try. She took a little longer than what I’m normally used to, but I was happy with my results!! And my highlights looked so natural and bright blonde… just the way I like it!! Remember, it’s not the location that does your hair, it’s the person!! …you just have to take a chance!!

I’ve been going to Amanda for many years. When she moved to SmartStyle I decided it was well worth driving from Beach Park to Antioch just to continue getting the great service she always provides. She’s always been very professional and considerate of what you’re looking for. I certainly recommend her for your next hair styling needs. She’s done everything from shampoo and cut to a full color and highlights. I’ve always been more than happy with the results. I made the mistake once and went somewhere different for a quick haircut. She was even able to that bad haircut for me. She’s awesome!

I don’t get all the negative reviews about this place, but then again, I haven’t been getting anything all that complicated. I think there was perhaps one time I was turned away because there were two stylists who were occupied with customers getting coloring procedures. I was also told they were booked for the rest of that evening. Given the amount of aluminum foil I saw, I believed that. Anyway, my .02. So far I’ve had no problems.
