For the last few years, I’ve cut and colored my own hair because I have been disappointed every time I went to a salon. As I’ve tried to grow my hair long, hairdressers would always unnecessarily cut inches off and use the wrong color. For mothers day, my son but me a gift card for SmartStyle Hair Salon. I was skeptical and really didn’t want to chance another disappointing salon visit. To my surprise, a young hairdresser, Sydney, was not only professional, but honest and clearly told me what she would and wouldn’t be able to do. She didn’t cut off a crazy amount of hair and the highlights she put in are so natural looking. This has been the best salon experience I’ve had in years! I am so impressed with this young lady and if you need highlights or a great haircut, ask for Sydney!

The lady that did my hair acted very nervous about cutting thick curly hair. I even said to her if you feel uncomfortable I will come back another time or I can go somewhere else. Because I will be upset if you mess my hair up. She said no I have cut curly hair before. Well she started cutting and she did not blend the hair so I said this is not blended she said I can blend it, I said yes please. Then she was cutting that side shorter I said no shorter just blend it. I also said I am not loving how you are cutting my hair she said well it is not cancer no one is going to die from it. I said what did you say she said again it is not cancer. Then she started to yell at me, I said stop yelling at me she said your right I should not yell. Then she went in the back to talk to the other lady. The other lady Nancy comes out says the lady does not want to finish your hair we will not charge you and you can go somewhere else. I said what with half my hair cut. I said you better call someone I am not going out with half a hair cut. So Nancy went back and talked to the other lady and she came out and tried to even up the other side of my hair. This is possibly the worst experience I have ever had any where.
