I had gotten a helix piercing at another piercer who then left the studio and I wanted to get it checked to make sure it was healing correctly. I had heard about Skin Illustrations from a friend so I thought I’d check it out. Shawn was amazing and took me right back and checked my piercing out and also downsized it. Definitely going back!

If I could give 10/5 stars I would in a heartbeat. About two weeks ago I went in for a double nose piercing and Shawn was spectacular. He took so much time measuring the placements and had absolute no issues with moving one to my liking. My blood sugar tends to drop whenever I get piercings so I let him know ahead of time and he made sure I was fine the whole time. He even made sure I stayed in the chair and gave me an ice pack to put on the back of my neck just to double check I was okay and wouldn’t pass out, even though I was feeling great. This was the third time I’ve gotten one side of my nose done and it was the least painful experience of the three. Shawn is a wonderful professional and I’m super excited to start working on getting my much wanted ear piercings next.

Shawn is the piercer when I got them done and he is absolutely amazing at his job!! Whenever I had questions about my piercings or jewelry he was always quick with his responses and never left room for confusion. I got my septum, nose, and nips done here and I am absolutely in love with all of them. Shawn is the piercer when I got them done and he is absolutely amazing at his job!! He made me feel so comfortable and gave me all the information and tips I needed to make the healing process easier. I randomly called one day and was able to get in within 20 minutes. Shawn was not only very nice and professional, he was also educational. I made him aware I had a previous negative experience elsewhere and he made sure I knew the cleaning protocol and what to do in case I developed a bump. Giving credit where credit is due! I got my nose pierced almost 2 months ago now and I couldn’t be happier. I randomly called one day and was able to get in within 20 minutes. Shawn was not only very nice and professional, he was also educational. I got my naval piercing re-done here, just recently, it had closed & I really wasn’t happy with it to begin with. But when I went to Skin Illustrations, before even agreeing to re pierce me, they checked to make sure that it could be done and done safely. (Which I liked, very important to me.) They were very professional, very accommodating, and no pain whatsoever! I am very happy with my results, definitely going back there again for some more piercings when I’m ready!

I went here to get my septum pierced about a week ago. The shop was very clean and my piercer was very nice. The problem I have is I was pierced way too high so you cannot see the jewelry. After speaking with the shop a week later I was told I was pierced with the wrong needle. He tried to get a different piece of jewelry to fit, but because there was so much going on my nose was way too swollen. He did offer to repierce it at no cost but after the first time I don’t wanna keep messing with it. Again, was very nice, just seemed to be a rushed job and I will have to really look for jewelry to fit.

I went to Skin Illustrations to get a second ear piercing. My original piercings were all kinds of messed up. The right one was significantly higher than my left, so the placement of the second hole in both ears required a lot of thought to make everything look symmetrical. Shawn was amazing and took the time to make sure everything looked just right! I felt he was very honest in his opinion and was looking out for my best interest. Now you can’t even tell there was an original issue. Not only were the people there friendly and helpful, the shop was clean and all equipment and jewelry sterilized in front of me. I highly recommend Skin Illustrations for any type of piercing. Ask for Shawn.
