Plus we both walked out of there with glowing skin! The environment is very friendly, and most of all welcoming! 10/10 we WILL be back!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityFriendly staff and free gingerbread cookies. Got a fabulous 60 minute message here a week ago, so I made a haircut appointment. Saddest shampooing and conditioning that I have ever received (possibly my fault for being five minutes late). The stylist asked if I wanted hairspray at the end which I did, but NO other hair products were used. The other stylist kept talking to my stylist and showed my stylist a video above my head while my stylist was mid curl. I thought it was odd that we, the clients, were facing each other instead of the mirrors, especially since the other client wasn’t wearing her mask. Definitely WOULD recommend getting a message here. Would NOT recommend getting a haircut here if you prefer a one on one conversation with your stylist, being able to see your own hair cut process, and your hair properly curled.In response, her mask was off for almost the entire time that she sat across from me. Yes, I did drink the water given to me and ate the cookie offered to me as I paid by the front door. No one but my message therapist was in the room, and she thoughtfully asked if I’d like some water after my 60 minute message and to have a cookie before I left. I am 36 weeks pregnant; so, you comparing me sipping some water and having a cookie then immediately putting my mask back on to a woman sitting with no mask on for over 20 minutes is absurd. Also, for hair to be shampooed, conditioned, cut, blowdried, “curled”, then pay and drive off in under 55 minutes is not good either… poor “spa” quality in my opinion. My stylist did an excellent job conversationally in the beginning until the other stylist was quite unprofessional, further ruining the hair cut experience. You clearly believe this behavior among stylists is acceptable. What would have been the point to discuss my frustrations after a horrible experience. This review is meant to inform others about the atmosphere at this salon. Based upon your response to my accurate description of such a disappointing second experience, I would not recommend Shimmer Spa.Friendly staff and free gingerbread cookies.
