Thera Smith just joined the wonderful staff at Shampoo. Thera has colored and cut my hair since I moved to Durango 5 years ago. Her coloring skills are outstanding, her skin and make up advice and applications are wonderful, and she has always done exactly what I asked when cutting/styling my hair. Well, there was one time when I feeling very emotional over something that had nothing to do with my hair, and I asked her to give me a pixie hair cut. She calmed me down and told me she was just going to trim my bangs! That is the action of a caring stylist.

I am so grateful for my long term relationship with Autumn at Shampoo. She is so incredibly talented with her cuts, color, and styling. I have worked with her for approximately 8 years now. She is professional, down to earth, fun, sincerely loving, and extremely consistent. I have had medium length and short hair length styles with her, natural and colored. My texture is fine, wavy/curly hair which I tend to straighten daily and Autumn has been instrumental in helping me find cuts, lengths, tones, and styles that suit me personally. My daughter has very long, straight hair, which can be very difficult to cut to perfection, yet Autumn has always rocked it. She also manages to get it to hold curl afterward with her amazing styling techniques! Both my sons also go to her. In fact, our oldest who is away at college refuses to let anyone else but Autumn cut his hair, and scheduled his trips home around his hair cuts with her! LOL! Our youngest has been seen by her since he was a wiggly little one, and she was fabulous with him. Thankfully he’s much easier now that he’s older and can sit still. My husband would see her too, but he shaves his head bald everyday! The entire crew at Shampoo is fun and professional. Regina, the salon owner, is wonderful. In a town where other salons I had previously been to can get outrageous, Shampoo is a breath of fresh air and very reasonable in their salon prices. Their Goldwell line of color and Euphora hair products have been a game changer in the health of my hair. I’m so grateful for Autumn and her talent. Our experience with Shampoo has always been top notch.
