Michael King was born in New Haven, CT. After spending ample time in several parts of the country as the protege of many talented artists and the friend of the spiritually enlightened, he has finally returned to Connecticut/NYC. Plowing through the illusions society has created, Michael’s mission is to inspire hopelessness, motivate the discouraged and warm every soul he encounters.

A shaping and “grooming” appointment, to re-shape the beard and keep it tamed.		$10.00

Shampoo and scalp massage, KMS products to keep your style in place and a thorough blow-dry, resulting in a SHINY, SMOOTH and weather-proof hair, for you to enjoy all day and all night!		$45.00
Gloss or Glaze
Color glazing is often used to add shine and depth to the hair, without penetrating the the hair and depositing under the cuticle. A glaze is a temporary color, which professionals would call “Demi-permanent color.” As time goes on, the glaze will slowly dissipate and return to your natural color.		$65.00
Hair coloring
This service price is subject to change. If a customer has short hair or very long hair, the price may decrease or increase. Consultation appointments are encourage before color services with new customers.		$100.00

Mens Grey Blending
This service is usually combed, brushed or strategically painted into the customers hair. The goal is to soften the look of the grey hair, yet leaving just enough to look natural and embrace the color of the natural hair, without ridding of it entirely.		$40.00

Coloring mens hair is a service that requires a consultation. The goal with mens color is to always look natural.		$45.00

Toner is used to rid of unwanted tones and also to deposit desired tones. Typically a service that would be in between highlighting appointments.		$45.00

Lightener is a word SHAG chooses to use. We are reluctant to say the word “bleach” as it is typically associated with horror stories. When using LIGHTENER appropriately, whilst keeping the integrity of the hair in mind, there is no reason to be afraid. A true professional can lighten hair and prevent breakage. On Saturday it was my first time at SHAG. When I walked in for my late afternoon appointment I was taken by the beautiful decor that was fresh with a clean modern look. Michael was my stylist and I gave him free reign as he is a master at his skill and his talent speaks for itself.
