Tyler is the only person who has ever cut my hair the way I always envisioned. He translates my disconnected ideas about what I want my style to look like into exactly what I was picturing! He’s also completely amazing at styling with a blow dryer. Prices are reasonable and the salon is clean, beautifully designed, and really conveniently located in Mount Kisco. Amazing atmosphere and service!! I cannot explain the way I felt going in and the difference I felt coming out. Getting your hair done definitely boost your self confidence. In search of a new hairstylist I decided to go see Tyler Carfi, owner of the Selfish Hairsalon in Mount Kisco. First off, I love the simple sleek design of the salon. The service overall was impeccable with super attentive and friendly staffs. Tyler was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and definitely not fear of my thick dark asian hair which most stylists do. During consultation I showed him pictures of color and cut I wanted. Tyler listened and explained the steps in order to achieve the result. Well, he nailed. I love the highlight and cut and my hair feels super soft! I should also mention that Tyler is very talented using blow dryer to style your hair, as other reviewers had mentioned. No curling iron! I’m so so happy I found him! Oh I also love the concept behind the salon’s name, that it’s okay to be selfish when comes to pampering yourself! I couldn’t agree more! I wish Selfish tons success because I will be going back!
